Fallout: New Vegas
Wait, so there's a choice between the true iron sights and still keeping the crosshair? Cool.
-
And so I have a quick question
Define "choice" Even if it was an Atari's decision I'll be honest and say that I doubt Obsidian cared that much. And it wasn't that bad as a decision imho.

Dragon Age 2
But you can't kill all the teenagers! You can hire them as writers, I guess. A Bioware teenager DLC team!
-
Dragon Age 2
Wouldn't an undead team be much more cost effective? Considering how often teenager adventurers come to slaughter them, and they have to be replaced again, not at all.

Ask Monte
Dear Monte, let's assume you were a sage from an eastern country and you were asked if the egg came before the chicken or viceversa : how would you react? And how would you fight against an handicapped ogre with magic powers that wants to conquer the world for some perfectly understandable freudian excuse? Sincerely yours, Mr. Ever

And so I have a quick question
I don't see anything particularly unfair in what they did. It was Obsidian/Atari's choice in the first place to leave the NWN2 forums on Bioware's site to keep a sense of community etc.. etc.. Not much will change considering the NWN2 forums will still be on a Bioware's proprietary forum.

And so I have a quick question
They are? I didn't know that. I guess that since the BioWarians make no mention of moving NWN2's forums here they will be moving too to their social network thing-y.

STEVEN HECK IS A GOD
I don't honestly see the connection with Minsc, except they both provide comic relief.

Dragon Age 2
To be honest I don't think I've seen such an overwhelmingly negative reaction to Bioware releasing screenshots since a long time. While I don't honestly believe that this will be the visual quality of the final game, I'm honestly worried that Electronic Arts is trying to rush them (just look at what happened with Awakening)...

Applying for non-open position
Disclaimer : I'm not a developer. Heck, I'm not even good at maths. Take everything I say with a grain of salt. As far as I remember, Chris Avellone said on his blog that while a position may not be open at the time you submit, they still may remember you when that position eventually opens. ...if you are in doubt you may want to just e-mail him. As far as I've seen, he's very open and helpful on this kind of things.

E for Everyone, except me
Arcania is also being funded by the same investment group that part funded NWN2. Whether that is included in the 6 million or not isn't clear from what I read, so it could actually be more than that. I suspect JoWood needs to sell millions of copies because their financial position is dodgy rather than just to recoup investment because they should be in profit well short of millions of copies if that's the total cost. That's just development costs though, it doesn't take marketing into account. Still, yeah, I don't honestly see how that would need millions of copies.

Annie VanderMeer Mitsoda interview at RPGCodex
And I was right, apparently. Still, it's incredible that NDA for a non-published, never-even-out-of-pre-production games are so binding. This industry is certainly.. bizarre.

Dragon Age 2
The screenshots don't even look like a particular area in the game, more like they've thrown the character into a proof-of-concept area to fight some darkspawn and show the combat. Or maybe that's wishful thinking. Whatever, at this stage of development, I wouldn't be too afraid about the graphics, there's still plenty of time to fix them and make them better. P.S. : I'm not sure how I feel about the new art style... I guess it'll have to grow on me.

Maybe she's still under NDA? Though I doubt it.

And that it would have been awesome. Though admittedly, I'm not sure if Annie's opinion alone convinces me about that.
