  1. Before someone jumps on me and starts slapping me, yeah, that was a joke. But if those bugs weren't fixed in the patch it'd be honestly a bit baffling.
  2. They still didn't fix all those bugs? Oh dear. Bioware taking cues from Obsidian about bugfixing? Now I've seen it all.
  3. I'd say that if anything Fates Warning just picked up from where Queensryche left. And I disagree with your opinion on Dream Theater before Kevin Moore left but meh, that's just your opinion. The fact is, probably a lot of people wouldn't even know about Fates Warning if it wasn't for Dream Theater. The fact that they started sucking after Moore left has nothing to do with that.
  4. Now I'm imagining them in all sorts of guerilla war gear and it's just six kinds of awesome. Just let me find that photo of Chris Avellone in the spy gears...
  5. Like Alpha Protocol you mean? We all know how that end up.... No, Obsidian is destined to make sequels. UE isn't Obsidian's engine. Plus, a failure doesn't have to stop them from making new IPs, unless they're content with just staying alive and being the mercenaries of WRPGs.
  6. Obsidian could do stopping using someone else's engine and begin standing on its own legs.
  7. Framerate varies wildly too. I have the feeling that this game will still be a rushed mess even after the delays. At least it looks good.
  8. It's not really ''that'' similar to a Diablo clone. There is less of an emphasis on combat and more on traps and adventuring. But yeah, the style is similar. And it seems like a good game from what I've seen of it (the demo). I didn't like some details (like the TNT barrels in an old, godforsaken, temple) but overall it seems to be the most solid entry of the series in years.
  9. I interpreted is as a yes since he threw in that managment to allow fast changes went into the design process of Onyx which in turn allows for a much more detailed world. So, why wouldn't there be? But will there be secret passages? The drunkard aussie is striking! HE'S STRIKING! ... I don't know anyway. But I hope there will be rainbow passages.
  10. Oh The Witcher 2! Forgot about that. Definitely looking forward to it.
  11. They could do it the Cryptic way and kill the dice rolls! I mean those are so old-gen!
  12. But there should be... At this point you're probably right Atari and the legal wrangling having killed it. I know Stephen, I know. But AFAIK it was only in the plan before the legal debacle began so now it's pretty much dead.
  13. There is no NWN2 patch. Fallout New Vegas is almost finished, at this point they're just working on fixing bugs which means that a lot of people can now be transferred to new projects. Also, last time I heard, Red Eagle still hadn't secured the funds for the Wheel of Time game so they haven't started working on it. I myself would prefer seeing Obsidian spreading itself a little bit less thin, but they are not really working on as many projects as you seem to think.
  14. Bioware developing unannounced handheld title.
  15. You see what's the problem with memes in general? They start funny, most are not really so funny but they are KIND OF funny, then people start repeating them ad nauseam until they repulse me.
  16. I am allergic to cats. I therefore require this topic to return to the next-gen [=RPGs=] bashing. Thanks.
  17. OH. GOD. YESSSSSSSSSS. **** YOU STUPID OVERRATED MEMES. **** YOU!
  18. The Gun Runners of the Apocalypse? Good ****ing god. Mad transcripting skillz!
  19. Sorry, but since you didn't make me sign a NDA I thought it was fair game.
  20. Ammo is pretty easy to find in Fallout 3 actually. Even in the open wasteland just finding a raider camp is sure to give you plenty of ammo.
  21. That brings up a good point. I bet MMORPG players are fatter than standard RPG players. Dumber too. Relevant.
  22. To be honest, while Obsidian definitely had problems in the past, I don't really think that they have the need to hire a professional writer. Also the voice-overs/trailers/marketing are all things that the publisher has to deal with it, I am not really sure how the relationship between Obsidian and Square Enix works, but I doubt they can do more than give suggestions and approve on Squenix's marketing plans.
  23. Lots of bold words but for now they haven't shown anything.
  24. Oh come on, that's just bull****. As much as they sucked in the last 5 years or so, they are basically the band responsible for Progressive Metal to have expanded in the first place. Clearly you're searching for something else in music, and I can understand that, but try not to forget the fact that they've had a huge influence. Plus, in my opinion, Image & Words and Awake are some pretty freaking good albums. I agree on Mike Portnoy being overrated though.
  25. Should be fairly obvious but I'm still here. I have exams this month, but I should manage to find time to post something as far as we don't go too fast.
