Yeah, but you know. Slow-mo is all the rage this days. It just has to be done, for everything. But why if it looks so bad? I mean, it's even more jarring since the proper combat gameplay is so fluid!

The slow-mo looked pretty bad. The rest looked good though, especially the outdoors shot and the characters faces.

To be honest, calling NWN an old school game probably isn't helping. I've played it online though, so I know how fun can be in that outlet : good luck.

True, though it would be a bit of a pity IMHO. The metalhead/Mad Max-ish look fits Fallout imho.

I'm wondering if we'll meet that guy in game actually. I'm pretty sure that there isn't a similar hair style in game and that Obsidian hasn't added any. Plus, the long hair styles I've seen in mods had some pretty huge clipping problems. A pity though.

I don't honestly hear much Crimson Glory at all in this song, but it's not that bad actually. A bit confused maybe, but cool. I think it's just the combination of the terrible production, completely absurd vocals, and odd song structure (random solos placed all over the place and buried in the mix) that makes this so hilarious for me, but I can't listen to the whole thing without laughing. But that's what makes it cool! It's just so random! As for the line-up, I've heard worse names from people who took themselves totally seriously.

Seconded, I hear they are working on Risen 2. I'm not sure if these financial problems will affect that. Yeah, recently confirmed. ...maybe if Jowood dissolves... Obsidian will do a Gothic V?

Germany actually. But yeah, the voice acting was really really good. Not Bioware/Obsidian level, but still great, and it fits the writing to a T. Just take into account that if you do all the side quests during chapter 1 & two you'll find yourself with little content for chapter 3 & 4. I still found them fun, but not as good as the first, more open-ended, chapters.

The topic I was talking about (beware : the spelling and grammar are even worse than mine) But I agree that, at least at this stage, the game is looking pretty ugly. The art direction isn't particularly convincing either.

I seriously couldn't believe it. It doesn't even look any good. Otherwise the characters look okay, I just can't get over how low poly and how empty the environment is. It's not low poly! IT'S THE NEW ART STYLE!! Anyway, according to a guy on the bioware boards who played it at GamesCom the game looks better on PC.
