What you did today
Hm, maybe we should start a new thread "Hopefully Attractive Drinks..." Well stitches have been taken out of the dog, and he seems to be settling down more. Mayhaps one of the stitches was catching him awkwardly or some such. Actually had a surprise call from the vet to find out how he was doing tonight, so that was a nice proactive bit on their part. Juggling around on phrasing on my CV this afternoon. Attempting to update it and make it look nice and shiny. I find I keep wandering off onto twistedly humorous comments and turns of phrase, which I then have to jerk myself back and delete, at least to have it somewhat professional appearing.

US debt default
But still, there's got to be a few jokes over it. "We're doing a Government Shutdown because we can't agree on stuff!" "Okay. You're fired. Let's get in a new Prime Minister and get this show back on the road.."

US debt default
I have to admit, I'm a tad surprised there haven't been more jokey comparisons between the US Shutdown and the '75 Constitutional Crisis in Australia..

Oh, and for Breaking Bad fans, apparently the "Better Call Saul" spin-off is looking like its getting the go-ahead...- What's on the idiot box...
Person of Interest - They seem to be upping the sex appeal with Sarah Shahi's angry operative. And I still think when you get down to it, it's really a superhero show more then a spy-type one. Treat the computer as an omniscient hero type, surveillance as a super-power, and the main characters as his good-guy minions...- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I would have to say, that the reboot TR wasn't really a Tomb Raider game. What it was was a prequel that establishes why the character becomes the Tomb Raider of future games.. So I'll be curious just how they handle the next TR game, and how well they develop it.- What you did today
After a thorough examination, the vet can't find anything wrong with the dog (beyond the basic post-biopsy surgery aspect) to explain why he's doing the fairly constant whining keen and painful shifting. The professional opinion is "he's a wimp". So a bit more pain medication and see how it shapes up.- Weird News Stories

I should have added the rest of the link , so my bad.. but here's one of the reports on it all..: The Escapist - UK Tabloid Confuses Deus Ex Company for Real World Firm- What are you playing now?
The DEHR Director's cut merges in the Missing Link into the original game, and all of the boss fights have been overhauled. So no more walking directly into a pure combat heavy fight (supposedly), that a few other small tweaks and touches to how it plays. If you already own the original game and the dlc, the cost for it is around 5 euro's.- What you did today
Hm, well the dog is still whining pathetically, so the vet was called and they're surprised. So they want him back in to put under sedation and go have an explore. I half think they broke his tail during the original op or something like that... On the plus side, after spending about 3 hours at the hospital this morning, the whole grouping of specialists have finally decided that the lack of quality of life has reached a point that the potential risks of doing a knee replacement on my mother might actually be worth considering. That and with various things her lower spines curing and now one leg is about an inch and a half shorter then the other. Getting the anesthesiologist, the dermatologist, the orthopaedic surgeon, and the other handful of "specialists" to stop doing the "I'd do it but x, y and z could interfere which isn't in my field so I need to talk to ..." and actually agreeing on something seems a major miracle. Whether this means they'll actually fix the other knee that had a replacement that "clicks" is another matter.- The funny things thread
