But I thought that was the whole point of CW as a channel? To hit the demographic of stylishly angsty teenage soap opera melodrama, full of pretty twenty and thirty somethings playing teenagers and twenty-somethings..- What's so Funny?

Double feature re-watch. The Thomas Crown Affair. The original, followed by the remake. Both darn good films, and interestingly different in their own ways. For the fun fact, shooting on location was rare before the original was made, and according to the director the initial bank robbery was filmed at the downtown branch of the National Shawmut Bank, and that although the guards and bank officials knew what was going on, the customers did not because the filmmakers were using a concealed camera. Although they apparently thought that a real robbery was occurring, none of the customers or pedestrians interfered in any way. The shift from bank robbery to art heist for the remake, was apparently due to a series of high profile bank robberies having recently occurred in New York at the time. The producers wanted it to be a stylish and gentlemanly type of theft and not something quite so thuggish and in your face as a violent armed bank robbery.- Nerdgasm: Movies and Shows for Geeks and Nerds

No, it's pretty much one of the purely in game engine , still in the usual walk around way. You just happen to have the dialogue wheel opens up when you click on the npc standing there. There's a bunch of those "minor" npc conversations like that that never actually take you into a zoom in on the faces conversation mode.- What's so Funny?

Weirdly enough, I found this to be one of the more gratifying things about SR2. Often I think stories that deal with violence dwell only on the darker aspects of the story. But real life will have ups and down - moments of tragedy and moments of the absurd. SR2 better than 3 & 4 walks that line. My favorite sequence in SR2 was the Boss being kidnapped by the Sons of Samadi leader and being drugged. It was harrowing to play and funnily absurd at the same time. Yes the Boss is a criminal badass. And still I felt very conflicted about the trunk sequence - it was a horrible thing, but from a story perspective it was such an appropriate response for the character. It was cathartic to get it to work and yet it was awful too - a nice story moment to challenge the player's perception and greatly appreciated by me. I think SR4 forgets to ground itself in real emotion and resonates less for it. It also doesn't have a charming scene like SR3 between Pierce and the Boss singing 'What I Got" that is such a great character moment which pretty much made that game for me. I agree, that dance between the tones and emotional extremes worked very well in SR2 and helped sell the whole story and the characters involved. Those are the points you'll remember about the game years from now.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
SR2 went through the emotional extremes. One minute it was over the top comedy violence, then it would twist to heart-wrenching seriousness. Then it would flip right back again. - What's so Funny?
