  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x97VLJBFWuo A bit better, from YouTube.
  2. I kind of liked the ending. It was a lot better than in Morrowind, for example. Better than Daggerfall too, in fact. It was cinematic, hectic and looked pretty damn impressive on my rig. I didn't like getting stomped on though. Grr.
  3. Oh, and anyone looking for a space sim strategy game should take a look at the upcoming Sword of the Stars. It's looking good so far.
  4. You basically only have a couple of hours left on the MQ. Not much at all.
  5. Game related: Question: Which are Feargus' Top Ten games of all time? Question: What does Feargus play in his sparetime right now? Question: When will Feargus succumb to my will and make another post apocalyptic masterpiece?! Question: What does Feargus think of the state of the RPG market right now?
  6. Actually, and this is horrible, the reason why I don't think it's looking good is because.. it's made by a polish, untested company. I AM A RACIST! WAAH! Seriously though, I get a lot of eastern european titles that I have to review, and so far 90% of them have gotten horrible reviews because of mainly one thing: incomprehensible translations. Especially the russian games are atrocious. Sometimes the dialogues doesn't even make sense, and all the humour, emotion and suspension disappears somewhere in the hands of a crappy translator. I seriously suspect they use Babelfish to translate some games. Who knows, maybe Witcher will be one of those rare games that proves me wrong. I sure hope so.

  8. Well, this is on the list of games I'm supposed to review, so.. It doesn't look promising, except for the graphics.
  9. Is this something you keep telling yourself to keep your personal morale up or something that you know for sure though?

Yeah, it would take like.. 15 minutes to finish it up. And it would be a huge success, no doubt about it. They're just not doing it to spite you.
  11. Actually.. I, too, have been given the preview code (not the beta-code we were shown months ago) and that's what I am basing my reflections on.
  12. I've played it, but I wasn't that impressed. It's an obvious Xbox-port (the PC-version, that is) with lots and lots of loading times. The framerates were all but consistant and the graphics were kind of underwhelming considering how the machine had to struggle. I didn't have time to delve into the story, but it seemed true enough to The Longest Journey (which is a favourite of mine too). The fighting sequences were horrible though, and the sneaking sequences were so basic it only felt like something they've thrown in to prolong some levels (you had to wait for a train to pass and make noise to be able to sneak past a guard dog). I really hope the finalized story will be worth the technical shortcomings and sellout game features.
  13. meta is really struggling now to get those last posts to 10,000..
  14. Must have for System Shock 2 fans: Better textures: http://shtup.home.att.net/ Amazing models: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/etienne.aubert/ssh...ock_rebirth.htm
  15. I like the FIRST edition of AD&D. Can I still play in this thread? Please?
  16. Yes, because you just say "Havok" three times in front of the mirror and voila! every item in the game is automagically physics enabled! It's that easy!
  17. Whoa. Bioware was 94. Based on sales during 2005 Jade Empire sales. Fixed!
  18. You should look into the X-simulators (X: Gold, X2: The Threat and most recently X3: Reunion) for some newer space simulation goodness. Another game I reviewed once is called Star Wolves. It's a RPG/space-sim hybrid, although not a very good one (in my opinion). Reviews have been varying though. Other than those, I don't know.
  19. I've never made it out of it, so for once I agree with you. It's so bad I dont even want to know what the rest of the game is like.
  20. You're fast. It took me, my cousin and my cousin's girlfriend's sister's little daughter (5 year old) 13, almost 14 hours to play through it all. And that's with the five year old taking care of all the boring "jumpy jumpy" combat.
  21. Nope. I want to become powerful and be able to kill rats in one hit, which is why I didn't particularly like the scaling in Oblivion. This is a problem with combat, as there are plenty of other games where you can run into low level enemies and one-hit kill them within a few seconds (Gothic is a good example). The turn based combat in Fallout is slow, tedious and too predictable. That's the problem.
  22. Oh yeah, especially when you're high level and you run into a couple of rats. You wait and wait and wait and when you finally reach each other you one-hit kill the critter. THAT'S SO MUCH FUN I COULD PUKE.
  23. I did. I followed the instructions closely, but I can't replicate that bug. I wonder if it's Xbox 360 only or if I'm doing something wrong?
  24. I want to play too!
