  1. http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=c...48&Itemid=1 No mobile versions of a GPU has the same computing power as their bigger siblings. It only means they're based on the same core (in this case the RV770), usually in a severely underclocked form. But samm is right about one thing; these 48XX chips are extremely power-hungry. I wouldn't be surprised if this idea was canned eventually. We'll see.
  2. So why are you (Dark Raven, Volourn, jaguars4ever, etc) in this thread if you already know how bad it'll be? I mean, you hate Bethesda, you hate Oblivion and you hate everything you know about the game so far. So why keep coming back to repeat it in every thread you find about Fallout 3?
  3. New preview from Gamespot: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/fallout3/ne...p;mode=previews I don't know, but I can't help myself from being intrigued by this game. Let's hope it's good, no matter what kind of game it becomes.
  4. Just get a new one from (for example) Sony based on the Centrino 2 platform and you'll be fine for a couple of years. I also read some rumours of ATI making mobile versions of their 4XXX generation of GPU's. Those might be worth looking out for too.
  5. Pool of Radiance Isn't that first edition AD&D? Still the rule-set I've enjoyed the most of all the D&D's I've tried. It felt so pure compared to the convoluted mess that's today's version.
  6. Unlimited ammo = me, standing around like a moron trying to make smiley faces on everything with bullet holes. I hate my OCD
  7. I just hope they've chosen someone with a little personality. Generic manly stud voice is so boring. Alan Rickman!
  8. Dungeon Lords: I had this game on pre-order and it looked good in the previews. Unfortunately, they released it two seconds after making it possible to run through the main quest without the game crashing. That means there's no furniture in the houses, there are no people in the cities, there's a general alone in the woods, referencing his (nonexistant) great army, there's not even fires in the fireplaces even though the light-source is there! Horrible disappointment, especially since the game would have been good if only they had filled it out with stuff. Gothic 3: I had this on pre-order too, but when the game was released I checked the forums first before installing it myself (remembering the Gothic 2 debacle..). It was a mess and I ended up owning the game for 8-10 months before finally installing it! By then it had been thoroughly patched and at least worked. Now I love it, but boy was that first time heartbreaking.
  9. Jaesun is the living example why I just don't care about D&D. The "builds" are more important than the actual game. I absolutely despise it.
  10. Can you eat beheaded zombies..?
  11. So what you're saying is that you think it's OK for a publisher to have control over how many computers I install the game I bought on? Personally I think it's my business and ONLY mine if I want to install the game on two hundred computers, as long as I only have that one disc I need to play it. Yes, the DRM is the same for the store bought copies, so the "hands of three people" logic is loopy at best. People are obviously interested in buying your games or you wouldn't still be here. You're doing quite well for yourselves, judging from the cars and motorcycles you people drive. But that isn't enough because you know some people are NOT prepared to pay for your products and opt to pirate them. So what do you do to solve the problem? You punish the people who are willing to pay for your products. The pirates, who never paid for a thing, will not notice any difference. They will still pirate the same cracked games effortlessly (only the cracker will notice the difference). The paying customer on the other hand.. well, you know the drill. Something is wrong when people are preferring a cracked version of a game, not because of monetary reasons, but because that version is actually better than the legit version.
  12. You forgot a competent try at Jagged Alliance 3. Carry on.
  13. I'm glad I bought my 4870! Not that I think the ATI manufacturer's wouldn't do a thing like this.. It's just, it hasn't been done yet. By the way, I can still recommend the 4870. Really impressive GPU.
  14. I spoke too soon http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3366 It sounds pretty good.
  15. I don't know why, but I'm suddenly looking forward to Saint's Row 2: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/246577.html
  16. I'm hoping there'll be zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. With boners.
  17. Seriously, wouldn't it be kind of groundbreaking if Obsidian made a game where you had equal chance of having gay sex as having lesbian sex? Since you can't be female in this game, it won't apply to Alpha Protocol. But maybe for their next project? If you can have lesbian sex, you SHOULD be able to have gay sex too! Or is the US still so uptight about different sexualities? I mean, it was possible to do lesbian sex scenes in Mass Effect so it should be possible to make equal gay sex scenes, right..?
  18. Hey, I even liked Gothic 3. A lot. Not my favourite of the series, but I played through it once (took over 100 hours!) and am currently replaying it with the latest patches. I somehow learned to live with the technical problems and the shallowness of the old companions. 5 days, 22 hours to go. My boner is starting to hurt
  19. Scary is only good when it's built-up scary and not jumpy scary. Like System Shock 2 = good, Doom 3 = bad.
  20. Guess who just got a boner?!
  21. I always remember Far Cry as having great AI for some reason. Oh, and FEAR had almost revolutionary AI, but that AI was very confined (like the rest of the game). But good to read these positive previews. I mean, I have high hopes for this game, but it's still disheartening reading (other) negative previews.
  22. Does Bruce Campbell do voice overs? I always thought he'd make a great voice actor. Or Alan Rickman, but he might be a wee bit expensive..
  23. Don't try to tell ME how I'm going to play my game! I will bag them all
  24. I did all the side-quests I could find and I even played that horribly stupid shoot'em up sequence and finished it in 13-15 hours (can't remember exactly anymore). I have no idea how you played it.
  25. Just put a sticker on the box saying, "For Males Only". Sure, you'll lose like 5 female sales, but noone's going to be surprised or disappointed at least.
