The sexiest preview ever.
Just put a sticker on the box saying, "For Males Only". Sure, you'll lose like 5 female sales, but noone's going to be surprised or disappointed at least.

Foxconn deliberately sabotaging Linux on their boards
Who the hell would buy a Foxconn board anyhow..?

Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir
I just wanted to add that the overland map reminds me of Pool of Radiance. And that's a good thing.

MMO, please?
The problem with all MMO's and why it's such a mismatch with Obsidian is that it's not supposed to end. Ever. How do you write an interesting story, storytelling being Obsidian's main strength, for a game that has no end?

Alpha Protocol on Kotaku
Yeah, I think Deus Ex did quite well too, being GOTY and all.. There's nothing stopping a RPG from having a FPS combat model.

What you did today
I had a nasty fall yesterday when I was out jogging. It had been raining and one of the hills I usually jog over is pretty steep in the descent part. Anyhow, I was running fast downhill when I suddenly slipped on earth-turned-to-slippery-mud and fell on my right calf. I got back up, swore like a sailor and kept running despite the pain. Then, at the bottom of the hill, I met a scared couple hiding behind a road sign. They looked at me like I was crazy. This morning my leg hurts like hell, I have a blue thumb and I need to wash my jogging pants.

Buying a new rig
That's a pretty good list of parts. I would suggest, though, that you looked at another brand of memory sticks. A-data is a brand that's sold in supermarkets and in Dell computers. I'd switch to a more well-known brand, like Corsair, Crucial, OZC or something. Not a huge problem or anything, but just for safety. I have that computer case and I'm very happy with it. It's a great choice.

E3 2008
The games convention in Leipzig is where it's at. Seriously, I expect it to be a lot more interesting than this dull showing.

What are you playing now?
Huh? I didn't know I had such a hatred? Feel free to point me to where I wrote that.. I just generally feel that the controls are being compromised whenever there's a "body" attached to a first person viewed game. "Like fighting evil through maple syrup"... Besides, I think Dark Messiah was one of those games that were sent to me for review purposes. And I hated how dumb it was, in everything from level design to how mind-numbingly obvious everything was laid out for you. It annoyed the hell out of me.

What you did today
Yeah, I'm seriously going to try and get my money's worth in the open bar. Even if it kills me.

What are you playing now?
That's what I did. I hated Dark messiah.

Games you are looking forward to
Actually, the Far Cry 2 producers have mentioned that there will be nothing supernatural in Far Cry 2. I think I even posted that 20 minute long video in this thread..

Gamespot E3 First Look Preview
Well, considering his name is Mike (or Michael) Thorton, YOU came up with that name yourself, stupid, lazy journalist.

These games worth getting?
Maybe the ending makes the whole thing worthwhile. Highly doubt it though. Unfortunately, the ending is the absolutely worst aspect of that game. A Doom-style endboss after all that 50's style and relatively realistic enemies and setting? Horrible. Just horrible. Embarrassingly unfitting.

What you did today
Today I bought two champagne glasses for $130. Each. That's $260 for two champagne glasses. At least notice the silk embedding and the golden rings on the feet of the glasses before you start mocking me.

Alpha Protocol at E3 2008
What's even more impressive is that he writes those posts despite being Finnish. (Being Finnish means you use 20% less words than everyone else because of their weird ass language.)

BREAKING NEWS: NEW EXCLUSIVE DRAGON AGE FOOTAGE
Hmm, a bit too similar to Neverwinter Nights than what I had hoped for. I saw an early screenshot from third person view so I had some hopes it would be more like Gothic, but alas.. Not my cup of tea.

Xbox 360 Respawned
And the PS3 still has a very limited exclusivity for Final Fantasy XIII.. in Japan. It's supposed to be released there a month earlier than in the rest of the world and only on the PS3.

Power Supply Assistance
Yeah, in the end I ended up connecting ALL the loose cables to it. I was hoping I'd use two or three.. Yeah, right.

E3 2008 screenshots
I think it looks fantastic! Especially the wrinkly guy in one of the pics. And still, my only complaint is that the environments do not looked "lived in" enough. It's too clean, too flawless and plastic. I hope they can add more detail to them as development continues.

Flagship Studios does it Troika style
I'd say it did. Gothic 4 is on its way. So is a Gothic 3 expansion. Meanwhile, Piranha Bytes (the Gothic creators) are working on a new IP that's not named yet. The Gothic franchise is about as dead as the Fallout one (and in the same situation), and on top of that I'm getting a new IP in the same vein as Gothic. I can't complain!

Alpha Protocol at E3 2008
I'm a bit curious about the timed response system in the dialogues. What if you, like me, a slow reader of foreign languages? Will the game choose stance for me while I am still reading the first reply? Or are the replies keyword based and really, really short? I know that in Mass Effect, you'd never really know what the hell your character was about to say since what he said sometimes didn't match the keywords at all.. (haven't played it myself though so not sure how accurate this is).

Flagship Studios does it Troika style
No, nothing that logical.. I had the original Gothic 2 on pre-order and got that. Then they released Gothic 2 Gold (with Night of the Raven expansion) so I had to get that. Then they released a collector's item called Gothic Universe (with Gothic, Gothic 2, Gothic 2: Night of the Raven and Gothic 3 in it) so I got that too. Oh, and I also had Gothic 3 on pre-order, so.. Basically I voted with my wallet.
