  1. And exactly WHAT is better about Windows 7 compared to XP? Remember, XP is a mature OS by now, with relatively few bugs and security leaks (hrm). There are NO GPU's on the market that supports DirectX 11 and it's really not worth bothering with DirectX 10. Since XP is the de facto standard, you never have any compatibility problems either. So, now.. tell me what the real advantages are for Windows 7 over XP?

Jonas "The Monster" Gustavsson has signed on for Toronto. Let's hope his playing style works in the NHL. If it does, Toronto might be on to a winner. God knows we need it.
  3. There are two genuinely American sports: baseball and American football. Both allows you to be fat and still successful. Is that a sign?
  4. Anticlimax. And no Outlaws either.
  5. That depends. I bought STALKER on the promise that they had faithfully recreated about 60% of the Chernobyl zone and surrounding villages. Unfortunately the game was cut into levels before release but some of it remained, like Pripyat.. I'm always impressed when developers have managed to recreate places I've been to and am able to recognize in a game. Instant gratifying feeling and a plus for the game.
  6. The Antec Sonata III is not tight on space. You can fit whichever "heatsink" you choose in it. I've built three computers using the Sonata III, all with very different setups, and space has never been a concern. Edit: The CPU cooler I personally use: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/d...q-tower120.html It's extremely efficient and I've even turned off the fan in it (the airflow through the case is enough) so it's dead silent. Might be a bit hard to find though, due to age.
  7. In that case, maybe a skyline skybox picture of Taipei would suffice? Like the New York skybox picture in the first level in Deus Ex!
  8. Well, then they really have a chance to try something new here. It IS an RPG and not a fast paced FPS, after all. As long as the realistic jam feature is equally realistically rare, I don't see a problem with it. I also think gun cleaning would make an excellent mini game on the Nintendo DS :D
  9. The date that's on Swedish pre-order sites is October 9. Maybe that's the same date as for the UK? http://www.webhallen.com/prod.php?id=85230
  10. Great pictures, RevolverXT!
  11. Just out of curiosity, a question to those of you who (like me) actually has access to handguns and shoot them fairly regularly: how many times have you had a pistol jam on you? I've fired a lot of rounds with the Husqvarna m/07, and later with the Pistol m/88 and I've never had a jam. The only time I've ever had a gun jam on me was with a fully automatic machine gun from the fifties ( http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ksp_58 ) and when that happened I ran into the woods in fear. This happened in the early nineties.

Anything regarding the Leafs, I'm trying to look the other way.. Honestly, I'm not sure about Grabovski. He has showed some talent, but if he continues at the same pace, then he's overpriced. If he continues to develop as well as he's been doing, then he's a bargain. Who knows. The guy did score something like 20 goals for us.

No, I believe Tortorella is trying to create another Lightning team (speed and offence). Gaborik would fit those plans perfectly.
  16. It would be a pretty boring RPG if there wasn't anything else to do than follow the main story quests. So I am assuming there will be side missions.. for pimping out your apartment, perhaps? Or pick up girls! Or just earn more money? Even if you're a super spy, you need to live, right?
  17. I think the moon will just say "**** this" some day and just start rolling all over our planet.

Oh wow, I really like the Gaborik signing. I would have loved to see him in a Leafs jersey, but I guess an uptempo Rangers team might suit him even better. I guess the Rangers won't have to rely on Lundqvist all season long again. 13 goals in 17 games last year for Gaborik! Let's hope he stays healthy so he can blossom on an offensive team.
  20. What the hell? Maria Caliban wrote in the other thread (the one who became too long and was closed) that she had been working out until she was dripping with sweat.. and none of you homos bit?! PICTURES, MARIA, OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!! ... I went fishing today. Zero fish and I lost five lures. I suck at fishing.
  21. This is definitely the funniest video I've seen in a while:
  22. No it's not! I would love to take my level 30 maxxed out character online to PWN some level 1-10 n00bs. Really. R3411Y!

Congratulations, Ovechkin, I certainly won't argue against your awards. Russian jackpot this year.
  24. With what don't you agree? Use as many or as few words as you like. You're basing your entire argument on opinion (you think it ruins risk/reward). My opinion differs. Not much to discuss. I do take offence to the claim that your "vocation" is to tell people how to play your/their game. Especially since your way of doing this is by removing a feature that a lot of people appreciate. To me, that's the same as (for example) removing all 4:3 resolutions because you think your game plays better in widescreen. None of the examples strike me as particularly good design decisions. It wasn't my decision to make on AP. I'm just defending the mechanical ideas/motivations behind using checkpoint systems. I don't think you are. I think you're after constructing a defence for savepoints, a console institution by now.
