  1. Stayed up too late and found out I can watch US Netflix via a browser plugin, now it's 5am
  2. Watching the drip drip spurt motion of the mercury at the end reminded me of a bladder infection or a kidney stone...good times
  3. Passed my driving test with flying colours yesterday, zero faults, considering how anxious I've been for the last month it's a miracle
  4. Yeah this is pretty much it, Gamebryo was just the renderer they used, I think the planet sized Rube Goldberg machine that actually runs the show was where all the bugs came from
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xHqFo8Z_OI
  6. Just got named Hortator and Nerevarine so I'm off to see the hermaphrodite for some godly insight before I whup Dagoth Ur.
  7. Today was a blistering row between my schizophrenic brother and my unwell mother, I started out mediating but my brother resorted to some really vicious insults and I ended up losing my temper pretty badly, no one got hit but it was ugly, mental health care in this country is utterly going down the tubes, we simply can't get the help we need
  8. Feargus has said quite a few times that he'd love Obsidian to do more Fallout if Bethesda are willing but I'm sure that if such a thing happens it'll be after Fallout 4, there's no way we're getting new content for the previous games.
  9. I started reading the first book in The Aspect Emperor series, so far I'm loving it, I had loads of frustrated questions at the end of The Prince of Nothing trilogy and it seems like they're going to be answered. The author is unashamedly inspired by Dune (and LoTR), he dumps you at the deep end of a foreign culture in the midst of an apocalypse, leaving you to piece together the world while keeping the plot clear.
  10. Josh Sawyer's mod is excellent if you prefer a tough game where scavenging is important, also the Sprint Mod is essential for me.
  11. I quite like KOTN, mostly because the back story grabs me but the quests and dungeons are also pretty creative by vanilla Oblivion standards, my only real issue is how shallow and derpy the characters are, it sucks out all the epic.
  12. I've had a busy few weeks in Oblivion while coping with various emotional crises First off I avenged Pelinal Whitestrake, Then slaughtered the betrayer, Met the Night Mother's children... Restored the Thieves Guild, Killed Mankar Camoran in his Paradise, Dragon****ed Dagon back to Oblivion, And now what I've been waiting for, heading into The Shivering Isles with distant lod mods.
  13. Completed the Thieves Guild in Oblivion, it's been a good few years and I'd forgotten what a long dungeon run it is, my level was a bit low so I spent most of the time hiding, running my ass off and dipping into treasure chests along the way, I also avoided destroying the Boots of Springheel Jack by using a load of Acrobatics buffs instead
  14. Yeah level scaling overhauls are essential for Oblivion, I enjoyed OOO for years but the new content that got added in later years irritated me, now I'm using Frans, bugs aside (half naked vampires) it's really good The Arden Sul background lore stuff was really cool too, Skyrim doesn't have any of that twisty metaphysical **** to ponder while you kill stuff
  15. I'm very much looking forward to Fallout 4, god I hope they haven't stripped out too much this time. I think Fallout 3 was actually Bethesda's best game, Morrowind had the best setting/story/lore but the gameplay kinda sucks, with Fallout they built a very explorable world and a load of gameplay mechanics to mess with, yeah the plot was thin at points but at least it was fun. I loved the Shivering Isles, it's like they learned their lesson from Oblivion and tried really damn hard with it, and as much as I love Skyrim I do feel it's lacking the extra something that made even Oblivion special
  16. Brains a bit too fried for actually playing games so I'm tracking down a bug in an Oblivion mod which causes vampires to spawn with no pants...
  17. Enduring a heavier than usual hangover and catching up on Breaking Bad, I had a great night out but I should have eaten more beforehand
  18. Congratulations
  19. Let's hope you don't catch a catfish, too.
  20. I'm taking Walsingham's advice and trying to arrange an amicable goodbye, if only for sanity's sake.
  21. At this point I'm finding it hard to believe they were telling the truth, when I got back in touch she started reeling me in a bit too enthusiastically, I almost fell for it but as soon as I went near the subject of actual contact she became pretty damn malevolent and manipulative, after so many years you'd imagine a simple voice conversation wouldn't be such a big deal but it always ends up in ultimatums, she pretty much tells me to get back in my cage or hit the road Regardless of the truth I'll put it behind me, it's not as though I'm lacking friends in the real world nowadays but it still stings a bit, I'm a generally good natured guy and part of me misses and pities whoever it is.
  22. Oddly enough this one's nickname is Buffy.
  23. There's a tv show about it where they follow people (usually the catfish) and eventually arrange a live meeting. Interesting and sad. I'm watching the documentary movie now, I wish I had half the information this guy had, chances are I'd never be able to track this one down
  24. You are being Catfished. Ha, yeah looking back it's obvious but damn...
  25. Here's one for the hurt locker...I had an IRC friend who I spoke to for several years, soul mate stuff, towards the end when I started wanting to meet her it all fell apart quite horribly, I realised that I never had any proof that she was real. Three years have gone by, I fired off a drunken email a month ago and we ended up chatting every few days, it was as if no time had passed and I thought "she" had changed for the better so I suggested we finally speak, she agreed but last night when I gave her my phone number she said I was pushing things and proceeded to fly off the handle, it's all gone to hell again and I'm equally bemused and broken Obviously it's looking like I'm dealing with a fraud or at least a very damaged person who hides behind the internet, I got over feeling like a fool years ago so I'm not ashamed to ask for comments on this hilariously wrongbrained situation.
