  1. I started on easy just because I knew I'd totally suck for the first five hours. Now I've bumped it up to normal as I've got a full party and learned some tricks, keep at it!
  2. I don't think there is but it'd be a great feature to patch in.
  3. Here's an interesting mental quirk, I really enjoyed reading the NPC's souls but after I found out they were backer contributions I started noticing lots of spelling/grammar issues and lesbian erotica...yep *edit* Oh yeah, played PoE for far too long again, almost ready to visit my first city.
  4. I find them a bit jarring but I can avoid clicking, it's a shame the original idea couldn't have been used. "Your unique message will be encoded into Glanfathan runes, and can be decoded using a unique in-game ring."
  5. It's 11:30pm and I've just got home, had a long day and I've got stuff to do tomorrow, should go to bed...gonna play PoE now
  6. Pretty clear lockdown date here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/obsidian/project-eternity/posts/945527 It's hard to keep track of every update from the various Kickstarters we're all involved in nowadays, never mind real life getting in the way. Still I'm not that bummed, glad I'll get into the game credits in some form, it just sucks a bit that I can't show my friends something physical. It's totally possible that the strategy guide will have to be revised for bugs/errors/patches so it's not impossible for them to update the credits at the same time, I'd buy it but I'm not holding my breath for it
  7. It'd be cool if the missing names could be added to the paperback strategy guide if it ever needs an updated release...I'd buy it again
  8. Yeah it's F5, works fine
  9. I meant that if your chr. inventory is full after a fight, you can't physically drop items so you can pick up/look at something in the field. So if the Stash anywhere-access setting is disabled, it'll still get put into the Stash automatically, where you can then look at it but can't go "oh I like that better, I'll put that on right now" because you can't access the Stash where you are. At least, that's the way it seems to be working. I haven't tested it extensively. Ahhh yeah, you can't drop stuff. The stash behaviour makes more sense now, I was wondering why you could still dump stuff there even with the restriction.
  10. Runs incredibly smoothly on my five year old i7 desktop PC, far better than Wasteland 2 for me.
  11. I feel groggy today and my head is swimming with PoE gibberish, just the sign of a great game/story/movie/book/whatever Wrong game! If only Obsidian could have a crack at Elder Scrolls lore, perhaps it'd be truly intriguing again...
  12. Congratulations, expectations exceeded! *edit* Really, Pillars of Eternity and Stick of Truth are great examples of why Obsidian deserves to thrive.
  13. Eight hours into PoE and it's soooo time for bed. Looks like the game really is that big...most of the time I was just exploring, reading and having conversations so I'm gonna be playing this for months *edit* Slightly bummed I was too late with the survey to get my name in the physical book but at least I'll make it into the actual game code at some point
  14. I guessed I might have been a bit late, thanks for the reply. While I wait for my name to be written in the stars for all eternity I'll keep gnawing away at the game, I'm eight hours in and only just scratching the surface of my exceeded expectations
  15. I cleared out the shrine and gave the priest bones to the quest giver, who apparently took them away for burial. Looking in my inventory shows I still have their bones under quest items. Looks like a bug perhaps?
  16. I've been utterly transfixed by the game for the past six hours and finally remembered to check the credits for my name, can't find it though
  17. Season two of The Walking Dead was a lot of fun, even if it had about half as many actual puzzles I think the writing and tension might top season one but I feel sliiiightly unsatisfied by the ending scene. I'm also downloading the magical gigabyte which will unlock PoE, goodbye world.
  18. I've pre-loaded the game and haven't had the urge to play anything else. I hope I get sucked into it so deep I don't come out for over a month...
  19. Beginning Pre-Loadening of PoE.
  20. Finally started Stick of Truth, it's fricking great, utterly authentic South Park and not too challenging to play. Also Walking Dead Season 2, perhaps not as amazing as the first season but still veeery engaging and in my game Clem is growing up a badass I'll be ready to play PoE by the time I'm done with these, bring it on...
  21. The glorious thing for me is that I still have some Discworld books I haven't read, some of his best so I hear.
  22. I just heard on the radio that Terry Pratchett died, can't see anything on the news yet though... *edit* Looks real, Rest In Peace man
