That doesn't explain wh they don't use them, but thanks anyhow. Is this for all people, or just Dog's howl? What's the condition for it? Only Dog. He uses his other skills normally too. The condition is under any circumstance (I've got a localized DA, so no idea what it's called in english).

I wasn't moving. I set Wynne and Leliana to shoot at some archers and was waiting for them to finish/heal them (hold position was on). L didn't shoot, I switched, told her to attack, Wynne stopped shooting. Switched, told W to attack, L stopped shooting. Repeat endlessly.

AI does stupid things in my game too, but it ignores player commands, not tactics.

I never figured out why some tactics I set in the menu are written in red and not used by the characters. Dog's stunning howl for example.

I liked the Arcanum approach: You have enough skill, now try to guess what they "want" to hear. Then again, I never complained about Fallout and friends (Bloodlines, etc).

What I'd like to really see lost is the stupid hero mentality some RPGs have: *you see a man in a prison - he tells you his story of how he became a serial killer for lulz and tortured dozens of families in ways that would make the Big Bad crap himself* -Oh you poor person, you deserve REDEMPTION! Let me help you/forgive you INSTANTLY! VS *you see an always chaotic evil something* -*screaming like a stuck twon'ha* DIE FOUL [insert species]! (And this line never changes, always this.) Sure, you can RP a gradual change in the PC as the conversation goes on, but the whole sentence, and the mental picture of the pure pureness purity PC suddenly screaming it like a 5 y/o is making the whole thing incredibly childish.

I had to load game several times in the Fade 'cause those idiot enemies constantly killed each other. Less XP = unhappy Oner I don't understand this comment. They are a direct take on Klingon society. Certainly nothing that unique or original. In fact one could say its a combo of drow and klingon society. But IMO certainly leans much more to the klingon side of things. All I was thinking when playing the dwarf origin is 'when do I get my klingon battle cruiser'? LOL Are you implying klingons aren't interesting?! Pata'Q!

Only when there was a powerful evil entity behind them that controlled & inspired them (Morgoth, Sauron, Saruman)... without those around they were mindless & animalistic and hardly a threat, similar to Darkspawn without an Archdemon. That said, though, can Darkspawn speak? Since there are some that can do magic & some that wear fancy armour (Alpha Hurlock/Genlock) there should at least be some intelligence involved.. Only Darkspawn emissaries can speak.What I don't understand is what the Darkspawn are doing while you cruise around country. Busy eating the dead? And what the hell does gen/hurlock mean anyway?
