The *writing* for Return was done not long after DA:O shipped as it was originally supposed to be available in December. All the same, retcon isn't necessarily a bad thing.

As slowtrain said, the game has some missed moments of awesome, so it's not like the potential isn't there. Although I believe writing takes more-or-less talent, trying is still important.BTW my experience with Beth before was 15 minutes laughing as my BFF got his ass handed to him by the naked barbarian in Morrowind (and a buggy thief guild quest), and Oblivion being loved initially and hated afterwards. I never cared about OL, so I didn't look up info, all I knew it wasn't liked, and that doesn't necessarily mean much. You were writing that huge post I don't remember so no wonder.

Hah, the only thing I can never ever be accused of is complaining about the FP view. I didn't really have expectations. Much less impossible ones (then I wouldn't call F3 a decent game). What I wanted was basically a decent-good story, the SPECIAL in action and the stat-dialogue thing. And exploring. Exploring turned out to be boring(metro over metro over metro), the stat dialogue is...*cough* of varying quality *cough*, SPECIAL was already there, adapting it to FPS is some work but hardly unfeasible, and the story was cut together from the previous two games. Of these only the SPECIAL is invariably connected to FO, the others jut lack general quality.

I only ever played the demo of the first one. The problem is, Yahtzee is a reviewer. Some reviews are packed with hate because that's what the fans want, and others are complaints about stuff that is/n't there. It's not like you play the game for 50 hours and holding down the button for 2 seconds never crosses your mind. So, what kind of reviewer does it make him?

You can hold down the mouse button, clicking 5/sec isn't a requirement.
