  1. I finished it in around 7 hours to finish it but kinda rushed through it. I'll have to go through it again to see if and how all the different 'endings' of FO3 influence the BS beginning & ending. But really, Bethesda should've put this content in from the very beginning, even if they only started working on BS reacting to customer feedback regarding the ending.
  2. I agree that Mace Windu is the greatest in the movies. Though Dooku is no slouch either.
  3. It's actually possible to die in this DLC, too. The new enemies aren't exactly cupcakes. I had to lay off my leather armor and switch over to some of the power armor for the first time.
  4. Jade was a stealthy reporter but she was also acrobatic and used martial arts. In fact, I'd say she did more stick-fu than stealthing. The original Beyond Good and Evil used almost the same engine as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Yes, but nonetheless if you botched the stealth in the missions featuring the bucket-head enemies with their hammers it was quite hard to stay alive. In these cases the only option was spamming that whirlwind power attack and hoping to be lucky. I hope the sequel will feature some of the co-op of the first game, "Jet-Boots Attack!!" and "Carlson & Peeters!!!" was simply awesome. one thing is already certain: the music is going to be top-notch as Christophe H
  5. The stealthy reporter seems to have turned into Lara Croft or the girl from Mirror's Edge overnight. That video doesn't seem to take place in Hillys either. I really wonder what the story will be, considering the way the game ended with that huge cliffhanger.
  6. Getting to level 30 requires nothing less than a World of Warcraft-like grindfest. I started Broken steel at level 20, did everything (at least I think I did) and finished at level 24.
  7. Echani shields require a lower skill to make, so I prefer those.
  8. On Tatooine it's fun to scare those Gamorrean ambushers away, then return to the hunting lodge to kill them.
  9. I wonder, has anyone already found for instance Nomi's robe, Sylvar's robe and the others without cheating? Is it even possible? Thon's robe is really great since it allows Force Jump.. but I'm abhorred at the thought of using console commands.
  10. Micro-pulse blaster is the best... but I've only found those once. I usually always find dual Mandalorian heavy blasters and put them in Mira's capable hands. As for blaster rifles: Cherrik, without a doubt.
  11. What about Bioshock, Stalker or Mafia in terms of atmosphere? Call of Cthulhu fell apart less than half way through and then it had you kill an elder god with a goddamn cannon. Also, enough with the hate on 'big' gaming sites. Yes, they have biased and bad reviews, but don't turn this into some kind cry fest for "poor foreign developers". It's great that you like the game, but there are a lot of people out there that genuinely dislike it, some of who write reviews. Haven't played Bioshock, Stalker or Mafia, sorry. As for the hate, there is none. I was just stating an observation.
  12. This may seem like a silly suggestion, but I'd like to be able to walk across the wasteland for long periods of time without being harassed by a random enemy. It's not realistic that there are so many animals scurrying around when there's no vegetation to speak of. How do these enemies stay alive, by eating sand?
  13. The IGN reviewer must've had a really bad day when he wrote that review... I purchased the game yesterday and I'm liking it a lot. The atmosphere in this game is simply brilliant... it perfectly captures the grimness of WWII. I daresay it's the most atmospheric game I've played since Call of Cthulhu. I can't recall any 'small' foreign developers receiving a review rating over 7.5 on the 'big' gaming sites... The Witcher doesn't really count considering their affiliation with BioWare.
  14. When in doubt, turn to the classics: Ars Amatoria
  15. No, it was a person who did only the main quest as a Khajiit, I believe. It used to be on the Bethesda boards wiht pics, but I can't find it over there anymore.
  16. One thing I didn't know about Yuthura until very recently is that you can actually meet her again at Dantooine if you return her to the light side. I usually take Korriban third or last planet so I always missed that..
  17. This seems to be true for Shivering Isles at least. The Isles' geography is almost exactly like Vvardenfell, and its regional environments - Mania & Dementia - are analoguous to respectively the Ascadian Isles & Bitter Coast of Morrowind. If Bethesda's games were merely a 'paint job' of previous games as you're claiming, though, TES V would already be out...
  18. There used to be a Let's Play on Oblivion where somebody went through the game without killing anything, and that was hilarious to read. Seemed to have disappeared though, unfortunately.
  19. The punching minigame was equally trivial, but strangely satisfying. And at least you could get an amazing reward in the end.
  20. Well, Morrowind did have some really goofy stuff too - 4 or 5 random quests involving naked Nords, the corpse of "Indie" in a tomb, and the infamous "Eltonbrand" sword. As for Bethesda respecting the ES, a lot of long-time ES fans on the Bethesda boards are as virulent about Oblivion as the FO1/2 fans about FO3 after Bethesda completely overhauled Morrowind's system and butchered the lore (Cyrodiil endless jungle? ha!). To make matters even worse, now there's talk about an ES fantasy book set in Cyrodiil after Oblivion involving a flying city creating undead. It's actually amusing browsing through some of the loremasters' reactions. As for FO3, if Bethesda really made it as a sort of 'testing board' to see what players like and don't like about it, then that can only be a good thing for the sequel. THey might even learn a thing or two-(hundred) with Obsidian's F:NV.
  21. Party Girl seems a good perk since my characters constantly swill booze. Makes the addiction totally redundant, though.
  22. I never even considered giving her armor. Could be interesting, though, making her a gun-wielder instead of saber attacker.
  23. I replayed Nar Shaddaa yesterday and went to Refugee Sector first where I wiped out the Serrocco & Exchange and as soon as I left the sector the Red Eclipse triggered (upon arrival I had told Quello to buzz off). Visquis triggered rather quickly after doing some stuff in the Docks district. So indeed, corrupted save may be the case here... What is definitely critical to the advance of the main mission, though, is talking to the Hutt about Goto.
