  1. I do think Dreamfall's story sucks, because basically one gets only half of it, plus one gets treated with more unresolved plot lines and cliffhangers than in an average Robert Jordan novel. I also can't stand the main character of the game, who's boring, incredibly annoying & completely clueless the entire game. The main reason why I like the game, despite all this, is TLJ nostalgia. It's worth playing through at least once to see some old TLJ characters again (even though some of them got butchered) and find out what happened to them - not to mention revisiting some TLJ locations in 3D was pretty nice the first time through.
  2. It's about time FunCom throws The Secret World on the market so they can concentrate on Dreamfall Chapters again.
  3. I'm replaying Dreamfall. I've played it only once before, when it came out three years ago.
  4. I hear Crysis 2 will be more "streamlined", i.e. the suit now comes with only one mode: "I Win".
  5. ME1 combat to me was more like "toggle Immunity/Barrier, run in & try to hit the enemies that are scurrying all over the place like a bunch of 9-year olds after too much sugar".
  6. I prefer Jedi Consular/Jedi Master(Sith Lord) but the drawback of this choice is the inability to learn Shien style - since I always use Critical Strike. Jedi Sentinel/Jedi Watchman(Sith Assassin) is a good choice for maxing out all skills & Force Cloak, and they can learn Shien.
  7. Is that Zaeed dude worth having around? It's the only DLC that I haven't managed to get working yet.
  8. No 2560x1600? Epic Fail!
  9. Is there a mod that makes the DLCs work?
  10. It's unbelievable that no company has of yet made a Dune RPG. With the humongous amount of content F. Herbert left behind, practically any story would be possible. Or a Dune FPS... I can easily imagine a Dune game in the same vein as Star Wars: Republic Commando but with a Sardaukar instead.
  11. So what is there to do in this DLC, exactly? Apart from fighting groups of 4-5 Darkspawn every ten steps.
  12. Dune 1 & 2 are abandonware.
  13. * Dune 1 is one my favourite games of all time. As stated before, the game uses a unique mix of adventure & strategy... and also has an amazing soundtrack & voice over. It's loosely based on Lynch's movie (which is why in-game Paul Atreides looks like Kyle McLachlan). * Frank Herbert's Dune was the last Cryo game before they went bankrupt, and it shows. It's a bit of a broken game with bad controls & questionable design decisions - the game forces you into melee killing since ammo is ridiculously scarce, but melee killing can only be done from stealth; once the enemy has noticed you it's impossible to even attack the enemy in melee... forcing teh player to rely on the Bene Gesserit Voice power to stun the enemy & then go over to the kill. This makes the game excruciatingly frustrating at times, especially since death means one must play the level again from the beginning. Still, I like this game a lot too (I'm a bit of a Cryo Interactive fanboy), since it's very faithful to the spirit from the book. It even uses hunter-killers & Tleilaxu facedancers in the game. It might be next to impossible to still find this game today, though. * Dune 2000 & Emperor: Battle for Dune are worth playing for the brilliant cutscenes & Harkonnen campaigns alone.
  14. The original BG&E version works on Vista, but there are some problems with artifacting. It's possible to solve this, though, with manually setting some graphics options.
  15. Yeh, I vaguely recall something about combining a fish & a rope and attaching it to a tree or something. Still, one it comes it MacGyver like puzzles, nothing beats Secret Files: Tunguska & NiBiRu. In the latter, there was even a case of combining a pack of dynamite with a rat in order to open a door.
  16. I kinda liked BS3, but the box puzzles dragged it down a lot, although the other environmental puzzles were done well... and the interplay with Nico reminded me of the team path of Fate of Atlantis. But the final part of the game was too surreal even for a BS game. I never got around playing BS4.
  17. People that loved GK should give Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars & the sequel Smoking Mirror try. Also, Rolf Saxon is one of my favourite adventure game voice actors, along with Sarah Hamilton.
  18. I have the game, but can't get the DLCs to work yet so haven't had the opportunity to play.
  19. Next BioWare DLC: Return to Lothering?
  20. And to add insult to injury, I hear it's impossible to remove the helmets.
  21. Bullet-time + Concussion shot + ability to use all weapons. Sounds okayish to me. I'll leave that biotic & tech crap to them emo companions.
  22. Isn't that bullet-time power worth it, though?
  23. If you let Four-Eyes go, there better be a newsflash how he & his crew succesfully nuked another human colony. My Renegade Shepard will probably be missing out on a lot of returning characters in ME2, since she pretty much caused the death of any named NPC in ME1.
  24. You didn't talk to them enough? That seemed to be all that was required in ME1.
  25. ME2 > DA Period.
