  1. Funny how there's so much complaining about modern games turning into interactive movies when remembering all those terrible FMV games of the past. EDIT: I hated GK2, but at least Grace was pretty cute in it. And still better than GK3 overall.
  2. Cheesiest FMV game of all time is Phantasmagoria. There was a scene where the poor female protagonist got her skull cut open.
  3. Apocalyptica wannabees.
  4. It's a cubicle hotel, commonly perused by salarymen working very late.
  5. But I'm sure pre-EA BioWare was a beacon of proper working hours and non-"sweatshop" conditions, right? Fans don't care about employee working conditions in the slightest, all they care about is whether or not they like the game. Plenty of people here that enjoy games that are oblivious to the fact that they were made on an 80 hour work week for over a year with epic employee attrition after the fact when they realize it's not sustainable long term. Holy Smoke Alan, are you being serious about the 80 hour work week. That's 16 hours a day if you only work Monday- Friday? Imagine being born in modern Japan and being subjected to crunchtime your entire life.
  6. After Demonicon I'm in need of something more light-hearted to play. Think I'm going to start QTE Raider.
  7. Since EA has been around since 1982, you are referring to... Akalabeth?
  8. Ugh, I knew it was Girls Generation.
  9. Finished Demonicon. In my naïvety I expected some happy ending but of course one is saddled with a Scylla and Charybdis choice followed by 10 second short video. Bah. Still, along with Game of Thrones best RPG I played this year and in the end more enjoyable courtesy of Dark Eye setting. All in all a very good effort from fledgling German developer. Looking forward to their next Dark Eye game now.
  10. I'm going to pick up Liberation instead of III, and likely pick up IV down the road as well. I like pirate settings.
  11. Holy smokes, this somehow looks even worse than Two Worlds 2 (but at least the title isn't as terrible). Considering how awful both Two Worlds and Two Worlds 2 were, that's quite the achievement. Nothing says fun like "cinematic", presumable QTE-based, combat! What are the chances that you're out to save your sister in this one? 50%? 75%? 90%? Two Worlds fully patched on PC is a damn fun open-world game. Two Worlds 2 is better in some aspects than the first, and worse in others. Not really interested in this Raven's Cry thingie, but it looks better than Risen 2. It will at least be an actual open world pirate game.
  12. Better not to know about the pranks morticians and coroners pull.
  13. Fievel was Russian originally http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvZfEQ_pMdg
  14. I found out very recently that Reality Pump are working on a Assassin's Creed 4 Risen 2 killer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFkH5_Che1M
  15. Yeah, the game is kinda trollish about the 'love interests' (if you can call them that), taking the piss out of both BioWare and CD Projekt.
  16. I waited years for Dreamfall Chapters, and if not for the occasional Divinity Original Sin update in my mail box reminding me I contributed to Kickstarter somewhere in the distant past I would've already completely forgotten about it.
  17. Good thing I never get sick. *sneezes*
  18. Ellen Page is Kitty Pryde again? I'm in. Not too excited about Kai Leng's appearance though.
  19. Biggest problem of Kickstarter for me: short term excitement vs long term apathy.
