Why is Lords of the Fallen compared with Dark Souls? Isn't it more like Darksiders in setting, combat and art style?

I didn't manage it either because of a bug with that Dwarven girl that made me unable to start her personal quest. So I was forced to kill her later on.

Maybe, that was the game where the developer claimed that Bethesda were deliberately trying to bankrupt them by arbitrarily failing milestones and not paying them so as to buy them out cheaply, so there were definitely two sides to that story. How did this drama end? Anyone taken to court?
