After playing as a Main Battle Monk, my Demon Hunter seems rather fragile. Although I love the ability that allows you to set up firechains from turrets, forcing enemies to run through them and get burnt.

Yes and yes.

Freedom of speech is and always has been conditional. If you threaten someone's life or try to encourage others to do so then I agree prosecution may be appropriate. However, some of the Twitter material that has been prosecuted has been disproportionate in my humble. By the way, I'm not an online ambassador for the UK justice system. Although, as an aside, I think Common Law systems are superior to Statute Law. Edit - I just re-read and noticed you mentioned racially inflammatory material. There has been a raft of perfectly sensible UK law on this dating back to the 1930s. If you go race-baiting online then of course you might reasonably expect to be prosecuted. Where the threshold lies is another matter, quite properly decided by the courts.

I'm not a game developer, but were I to try to use the Powa of Empathetic Projection... Doom - how to create tension, atmosphere and blistering game-play all at the same time. Command and Conquer - how to segue a story / setting and iconic units into addictive base-building and combat, ditto the original StarCraft and WarCraft. Jagged Alliance 2 - how to make a game hybrid that blends tactics, strategy and humour into an irresistible whole. Treats the player with respect, has great depth and complexity that you can alter to your taste (the Powa of Choice) Baldur's Gate series - Scale. Scale. Scale. The vision to make something enormous and ambitious that nobody else would even consider, and prevail.

The only bit I didn't like was the masked ball, which harks back to that whole DA:O Ren Fayre style. The environments were really tight, though, I liked them. A minor point - the seawater didn't look quite right lapping on the shore (a bit powdery) but the overall vibe is good. I watched it in 1080 HD. Ah, and as usual the music was good. I think the DA:O score was underrated.

I believe in the sanctity of free speech. 'It's obvious to me and I don't understand why people don't emphatically agree with me.'

Bruce, Bruce, Bruce. You are a totalitarian-in-fluffy-cotton. Simple opinions are usually the most dangerous. Especially when applied to complex concepts such as freedom of speech. I'm not about to discuss in detail the politics of SA, which has its problems like everywhere else except writ large. Poverty, corruption, crime, HIV, the legacy of the ANC... if it's so great why is London full of South Africans who hate the place? My point is what works for you in SA might not work for everyone else. Or should they just shut up? Then you don't believe in free speech. It's like saying, 'we believe in hamburger, but not in eating cows.' You have no right to be not offended. Assaulted, sure. Offended? No way. Under your definition Martin Luther would never have nailed his declaration to the door. Troll or child-like naivety? Only you can decide.

It looks very purdy. No mention of Bioware though, at the end it just says Electronic Arts.

Maybe Sarah Palin should cast her visionary eye over central America and predict what might happen next. Also, Pootin could embalm Hugo Chavez's body, topless, and declare a new Socialist Nirvana.

Monk is sick atm. I might try a wizard for the first time ever, although the new Demon Hunter might be cool... And that's the thing - all the new classes feel different and cooler.

You see, I find that in and of itself quite interesting. That's a pretty new development, isn't it?

The Case for Romance.

Actually, while I'm feeling loveable... We've only seen a tiny vanguard of the type of Promancer who would destroy this forum, like a sort of emo-Ebola, were there romances in this game. The rest of the people who like romance might employ a bit of sophistry on threads like this, but the BSN-type oddball hasn't rocked up yet. And of all the really good arguments against romances (for example, content / resource realities) my real argument is YOU WILL SUMMON HARDCORE BSN TYPES HERE. It's like a 1950's Sci-Fi movie. The Anti-Mancers are the military guys at the research station. The Promancers are the scientists. "Oh look!" say the scientists, "a life form." "It'll probably kill us," says colonel Buzzcut. "Shoot it." "No," say the scientists, full of hope and awe, "let us study it, welcome it, nourish it..." "Shoot it!" orders Buzzcut. Of course, the scientists get their way and the alien life-form kills everyone, just like Buzzcut predicted. That's how I feel about Romances / 'romances' or however you want to cut it - this place will sink under the sheer weight of oddballs writing dissertations on the navel secretions of NPC 'x' 'y' & 'z' and whining about why Love Interest Alpha doesn't want to dress up like a nun. -

I'm not. I am, literally, a loveable huggable care bear. You'd have to cuff yourself to a heavy object to stop yourself wanting to hurl your arms around me. -
The reason I think it could fly is because the bolt-on, MP iteration would be slightly cheaper. Being a firm believer that you get what you pay for, this allows for a better campaign mode aimed at people who might not be totally twitch-FPS orientated. I actually find some of those big FPS games quite relaxing and beautiful to look at. I'm not a content tourist, I like mastering the game and doing well. But I'd love a campaign designed to show off the high end bells and whistles of these engines / immerse me without the pressure of being murdered by over-caffeinate teens.

Interesting, two sides of the coin there. Like I say, I see both of them equally. I liked the story mode of the Battlefield game I played. I booted it up and expected to be in FPSistan but no! I was on a Pacific atoll in 1943 looking for a Japanese sonic super-weapon. It was so unexpected and impactive, I really enjoyed it. Maybe one day campaign modes will genuinely be bolt-on DLC, but mebbe with a twist. I could live with that.

Lephys, the against argument has been made again and again. Ad nauseum, in fact. Please save me the five-hundred word explanation about how we don't understand you. I've already read it. -
Hi, I've just read somewhere that the co-op campaign / story mode in Titanfall might be "a couple of hours long." Now, Titanfall is like a XBoxOne / PC exclusive AAA title, right? I accept many people will buy this game and jump straight into the MP aspect and possibly not even boot up the campaign. But what do you think? As a non-FPS player it makes me even less likely to buy (and I was getting hyped about this title) as (1) I like the campaign mode and (2) it's how I expect to learn the game. RTS games seldom give such scant regard to this aspect - even SC2 (which many pros will jump into without even knowing there's a campaign game) has a fully fleshed-out campaign. So do the Warhammer / CoH franchises from Relic. I know RTS and FPS are different beasts, but I ask the question anyway --- as a player picking up an AAA FPS title would you rather have (a) a full campaign or (b) additional content for the MP experience? Maps, maybe, or more modes, skins, weapons? To move it on further, will be see campaign modes for MP games become bolt-on DLC? You buy your game and jump into multiplayer - if you want that story stuff pay another fifty bucks. I don't have a settled view, what do you think?
