The TV and Streaming Thread: Summer Re-reruns (it's always summer somewhere)
S3 is better than s2 so far in the way that it's less boring, because every episode has at least one bigger fight scene to show for. Other than that, I really don't know... there are so many little things that just feel jarring to me. But maybe it's also because I can't just forget about all the behind the scenes drama, with Gerald being recast, etc... it's like I don't even want to connect to the show anymore.

I've read the books a million years ago, and played the games but every single episode of s3 so far confused the hell out of me. I honestly have no idea what the hell is actually going on most of the time. Maybe I just stopped paying attention or whatever, no clue. Considering they are creeping in story from the Witcher 3 now, I'm wondering if they will end s3 with Gerald and Yen dying, like in the books, and then in s4 they get revived, but now Gerald looks different. Would be hilariously cheesy I guess.

Oh, I thought it was moved into the future. Welp, guess that bridge will stay broken then. 0/10, not gonna play.

I bet they are fixing the bridge where the boat didn't fit through.

Watched Tear Along the Dotted Line and This World Can't Tear Me Down, both 6-part mini series. Honestly it was pretty great. Probably will rewatch it, though, because some parts were so fast, I had troubles following.

I'm still skeptical. All he talks about is replacing the russian military command and stuff like that. This is all he seems to worry about. In the short term this chaos is likely good for ukraine, but in the long term this could be not so good (if he succeeds and russian command will become more competent).

Worst part is, I'm completely turned off by space ships with big front windows now. The Expanse made me fall in love with submarine-style space ships and everything else just feels so science fantasy to me now.

"From the creators of Game of Thrones" - funny how they don't mention the names. 😄

I mean... for me Oblivion was already a bad game. Skyrim was a little more ok, but also still mediocre. Fo3, same story, bad to mediocre (thanks to mods, once again). Fo4 was absolutely terrible. Played 76 on one of those free weekends and thought it was super terrible. So yeah.. by that track record, I'm pretty sure Starfield will be either terrible or mediocre at best. Morrowind is awesome, though. 😄

Skyrim was released 12 years ago. Todd Howard is 52 years old. If TES6 comes out next year (unlikely) and has a runtime of at least 12 years, that means Todd will be 65 years old. So yeah, it could be his last game at Bethesda since he will retire once its run has ended. : >
