Torment: Tides of Numero Uno
I am so, soo happy the game will be turn based. The combat in the original Torment annoyed the hell out of me. Just saying.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
If you expect it to be a JA1 remake more than a JA2 remake, then it probably won't be that bad.

Real Hoverboard Kickstarter
Well, if it requires a special floor (some magnetic stuff?) then it's not so cool anymore.

Great, I've got me a cold. It started on sunday with a common sore throat and yesterday everything else developed. Going by the mainstream media, it obviously must be Ebola. So yeah, sux to be me. See you all in hell.

Drama and games journalism, soggy leg joint edition
Well, it's not always that easy. /Edit: Man, this gets more and more ridiculous every week. PS: Am I the only one who really hates Anitas eyebrows? They make me go ARRRG with every picture / video that I see of her. And am I sexist now?

What I only noticed in my second playthrough, and what I really loved: The moment after Joel saved Ellie from that cannibal dudes... In the next scene (walking through the overgrown city at daylight), you can really feel that something has changed in Joel. Now he starts out with being the talkative one and Ellie is not. Also he has that happy sound in his voice. This was never the case before.

Can anyone explain to me how music in japanese games sounds always the same? I just had to think about the song at the end of the Resident Evil 1 (original), and even that somehow shares elements with the stuff in the trailer above. And that game was released in 1996.

Torment: Tides of Numero Uno
The first novella is out, by the way. It seems to be pretty short. Will read it on monday, when I am on my way to work.

Using Soul Appease is the easy way to kill the rats. Do you play online? The rat kings covenant pvp area are my favorite. I've got that online stuff running, but honestly, I have no idea how exactly it works. The game isn't really explaining it very good. So far I like the hint texts from other players. It's pretty useful. Killed some players who invaded my shait already, which wasn't such a big deal. No idea how to play in coop, though. So far I haven't seen any markings and stuff. Then again, I had some oath sworn up until now that actually made enemies hit harder and prevented that coop stuff (I think), which was like... well, I was facepalming a lot when I found out about this...

Continue working on Torment. With the money, without the Gullet.

Heh, this one was good: And it's damn true. These people, they do nothing but talk. All day long. If they would spend that energy on creating cool games, the situation would look a lot different.

No. Manhunt really is different. It at least has some kind of point. By the way, I find that The Last of Us reminds me a lot of Manhunt. It doesn't feature the "wait a bit for harsher execution"-scenes, but the death scenes are still very brutal and the pure gameplay is actually very similar. You hide in the shadow, you try to knock out enemies from behind with stealth, usually you sneak around everywhere, strong enemies with sight cones patroling specific areas and who can kill you fast if you don't keep a low profile or have much better weapons available... More than once I felt like playing an upgrade of Manhunt in a post apocalyptic setting (with a better story and deeper characters).

That's quite a trainwreck. Also it feels like one of these chat flamewars we had 15 years ago. Just that this thing is kind of escalating more and more into the public... kinda funny of some sort. Also that guy is in a wheelchair and his nickname is hotwheels? That's pretty of awesome, imo.
