  1. Yeah, it looks pretty rad. Will try it out as soon as it's a bit further down the development road.
  2. Wasn't it March 26th or something like that?
  3. Me personally I never liked this ENB stuff. People are turning their games into a dark blurry mess, which by the love of god I can't understand why anyone would want to do it. Yes you are hiding the ugly edges with blur and darkness... but you also hide everything else. You can make pretty screenshots with it, but I never had been able to play with that stuff. /Edit: What the game is lacking is true object / environment shadowing. The world would look less... wrong... if it had better light and shadows, imo.
  4. Finished New Vegas again yesterday night. Did some stuff different this time and got highly confused with the ending. It's not the first time I did the Yes-Man ending, but this time it was totally different. Had to go to a different terminal, walk a different path,... Maybe this happened because I really planned to go with Yes-Man this time? Last time it was the NCR part where I decided in the last minute to doublecross them. A bit weird, but not bad, considering I have played through this game like 5 or 6 times already.
  5. That's another thing being changed with a later patch. At first you were able to do the Goodsprings questline against the Powder Gangers and *still* be able to enter the prison and do stuff for them if you avoid killing more gangers on the way there. Now if you want to do the prison related quests, you'll either have to do the Goodsprings stuff in favour for the powder gangers or skip it until after the prison. It's impossible to sneak past all the guards, so you will be attacked at some point.
  6. Just because I am currently replaying New Vegas as well (savegame says 36 hours again, heh)... I am using the "New Vegas Configator" (yes, it's written like that) to pimp up the graphics a little bit. Increased the grid loading from 4 to 8, which results in LOD models not being replaced that fast anymore. Usually you never see the Freeside sign this far in the distance (it always annoyed the hell out of me that it was poping up like 10 feet in front of me): And the damn water at the Dam: Since day 1 it also annoyed the hell out of me. It is pretty much invisible 99% of the time you walk around in that location, which probably was the reason for it to be removed with a later patch (it's in my game again due to the uncut mod, if I remember right. Though, I am 100% certain that there had been many more structures on the Dam than there are in the game now (wooden stuff at the rim, etc)). Sadly I can't crank it up to the max... no normal PC can handle that. But setting the value to 8 is still possible for me without noticing slow downs. Sorry for the off topic, just had to get it out into the world right now. :>
  7. What exactly is in this game that it might be 100 and more GB of disc space in the end?
  8. Hotline Miami 2.... it's annoyingly unfair and unfun. The map design is so bad. Huge open maps where you can't fully see everything, which then results in you walking through it and getting shot by a rifle dude on the other end. Especially the Hawai scenes are so, so unfun for me. You have to force yourself through 4 or 5 maps and you will die a million times and if you are fed up and quit, you'll have to restart from map 1 the next time. The first game was a lot better. More fast paced as well (in HM2 you have to wait for enemies to be in a specific position) and it felt never unfair to me. The enemies were never hiding outside of the screen and "hey, let's play a short game of Hotline Miami!" worked... while in the sequel it does not (see the 4 to 5 map scenes mentioned above... quit early and you'll redo everything the next time). Right now I really don't feel motivated to continue.
  9. You should use JSawyer mod in combination with the hardcore mod.
  10. Shelter 2 is out on GOG. Downing it right now.
  11. As far as I can tell, it's only useful if a) you can't use a longer HDMI cable from your PC to the TV and b) don't own a good PC or don't want to buy one. For me personally, I don't see a reason to buy a Steam Machine. Not now and not in the closer future. My rooms aren't that big and my PC can do everything better. A Steam Machine could also be useful as a streaming device that is closer to your TV (so you don't have to use a long HDMI cable from PC to TV and instead stream to it from your PC)... but in such case you won't have to spend so many dollars on the extra hardware.
  12. I am wondering what effect this would have on the psychological side. I certainly would feel weird when looking down and my weener is different. And of course my arms and legs and everything else.
  13. That is also your personal taste. I managed to finish the game many times hitting enemies all over and never had less fun. It was certainly more fun than WL2 with no such options. I didn't wrote that it is less fun. Just that it is unneeded. Either add mechanics that make it valuable to target different body parts or don't add it at all (and reduce additional clicks with it).
  14. Yeah, that's your personal taste then. It was never really needed, though. Hit the sensors (eyes) and be done with it. :>
  15. Imagine this fancy laser mounted on the head of a shark.

It is the second day of my ten days vacation (didn't got any vacation since september last year) and guess what... I am so bored, I am getting super depressed. What is this madness? There had been so many things I wanted to do, but now... I don't feel motivated for anything at all. Meh.
  17. I'd say Black Mesa was pretty much the same experience to me as the original HL. It's not only the better graphics, but they also streamlined / cut down on some of the more annoying maps, which in my opinion helps the flow of the game. Just sucks that the Xen chapter isn't finished yet and it looks like it will take another 10 years to get done.
  18. I'll guess you mean stuff like the "aliens" then, because most other animals (rats, dogs, scorpions, mantis) can be taken out easily without aiming (exception maybe being the mole rats if you are low-level). The eye-hitzone for the aliens is "?" though, which means it is not clear that the critter got eyes or not. The floaters don't have eyes either. In any case, that's like 2 or 3 critter types. This makes the feature hardly really worth it. Especially because the simple truth is: If hitting eyes or head does nothing, then you can as well stop using the extra ap for aiming and use normal single shot or burst instead.
  19. Really? I actually don't think it was in any kind increasing the fun. Hitting the head / eyes with 95% hit chance should be the most obvious choice for everyone, and aiming at the eyes always has been the best choice in Fo1 and Fo2. There has never been a reason to target any other body part unless you are doing it for the lolz, as it was just increasing the combat time (you kill slower, which in return gives the enemy more time to shoot at you). Like I wrote above, even the groin knock-down usually kept the enemy out of combat for only one turn. Better spend that bullet on his head, then you possibly kill him with a critical hit.
  20. PS: I don't think that aimed shots are really a that good idea. Yeah, people will think back at Fallout with this, but then again... In Fallout your target always had been eyes... or the head, if eyes had a too low hit chance. Sometimes you knocked someone down for a turn with hitting the groin for lolz, but that's it then. Pretty sure the same will happen with Wasteland 2 then. Just shoot the body part that kills fastest, everything else is probably a waste of ammo.
  21. I'll doubt this. Pretty sure what we will get now in patches is only going to be on the mechanical side.
  22. The new Alien movie would be after Aliens and before Alien 3. At this point in time Hicks (not Reese ) is still alive. Now that sounds like a cheap way of crowbaring the story to fit with the other movies, but honestly, I don't care. I would love it to see Ripley and Hicks again.
  23. Hotline Miami 2 preorder is up on Steam, by the way. Release on March 10th or something.
  24. Yanks and their ****ing flags. So why wasn't he doing it himself if it's so important for him?
  25. Looks like credit card only.
