  1. To be honest, I can't remember having ever given any commands or whatever to my companions in any ME game so far. And if I did, then probably only in very few situations. Really, all in all I feel like companions nowadays are nothing but side fluff. They hardly make a difference in combat.
  2. They drastically reduced it, but people still complain in the final game that characters are moving weird. I remember the alpha or beta to have the same movement as in the video above and while it looked cool, it played really bad. Basically every time you clicked somewhere you had to wait a second or two till the characters started moving at all.
  3. Tell that to your mobile phone or pc / notebook microphone. :>
  4. So why exactly is this the best wrpg? Also is it an RPG or just yet another sandbox stroller that everyone keeps calling an RPG? Does it have the same chores as any other such games, like climbing random towers and stuff?
  5. Isn't it always like that? Some dude getting a beating is forgotten soon, while an assault on a pretty lady makes the crap hit the fan for days or weeks.
  6. Now do the same with the viewpoint of a 15 years old or something. "I don't know what it takes to build a house, but this sounds awesome!"
  7. No idea, i never bothered much about the game. I guess with more experience in game dev, you start to set your expectations more in line with reality and not hopes and dreams and hype. Therefore will be less likely disappointed.
  8. Doesn't look that bad in the video.
  9. If it's the scene close to the starting area, then rush to these big pillar thingies and interact with them. You can disable all robots in the area without having to fight them much.
  10. It's hard work to come up with unique stories and most of these games don't even try.
  11. But isn't this kinda "part of the setting"? Even in the books (as far as I've read them), they always keep talking about old numenera and cyphers that nobody knows what they are actually doing, if something at all. Also objects being misused constantly, because nobody really knows what to do with them. Therefore, "junk" items not necessarily being junk is perfectly fine and even a cool thing, imo. It allows for more replayability and toying around with random things that might or might not be useful.
  12. I haven't played the full release yet due to lack of time, but I wouldn't mind them doing an expansion pack for it, if the story allows for it. They could put in the missing stretch goals and add new side / story content as well, similar to PoE's addon. This time they already have a console version, so chances for it becoming something like the W2 DC should be slim.
  13. Well, let me just quote myself from a few weeks ago.
  14. So what's the story behind the robot dinosaurs and why does the player need to kill em all?
  15. The video does look interesting, but I can already sense your typical open world chores. Get to a new location, perform checklist activities to increase a value that will allow you to upgrade stuff, wait for the next main story event to happen.
  16. Tried some Dead Space 1 a while ago and didn't liked it. It's full of jump scares and meh-stuff that didn't started my interest. Lucky me for buying it extremely cheap.
  17. Got my Nine Inch Nails shipment today... completely unexpected, especially because I totally forgot that I've ordered it weeks ago (shipment from 'murica to germany takes at least 3 to 4 weeks). And the result... Awesome idea. A simple cd I would just forget soon. Not even ripping it to the hdd, because I've bought the digital release on day-one already... basically it'd end in the shelf right away, maybe after a quick glance over the (very likely) paper cover and that's it. Instead now I've got the lyrics in a form I likely won't forget anytime soon.... with a huge load of black ink powder.
  18. Funny, I just recently started to replay Gothic 2 with addon. Back in the days it was THE game for us. Nothing else could top it (well, except for Fallout for me). When replaying it now, though, I cam to notice that especially G2 with the addon relies way, way too much on grinding down every enemy in the gameworld. You really *need* to level up and for that to happen it's not enough to just do quests. You'll have to hunt down every critter in every chapter to get as much xp as possible and that can get quite annoying and tedious at times.
  19. Weird, seems to work fine for me. Tried it yesterday when I had a few minutes, loaded my old savegame, left the beta area, etc. saw nothing unusual.
  20. What bug exactly?
  21. None in that long list of reviews are lower tier? He means the underground reviews, like TheSubWay, DwarfLand, and MoleManGaming And the Codex of course.
  22. Nope, it was always with a normal name except for the alpha. Steam Store still shows early access, and my savegame still works as well. Therefore-- it's not yet here.
  23. Probably not, because I haven't seen any update yet. The game should tell you it's the beta, though (at least on startup).
  24. I am just going to recreate my Ramirez-looking character, like in any other such games. In ME1 I've ended up playing with a character like that by accident, but I've sticked with it for the rest of the games, and even started to use a similar type in Saints Row, etc. It's totally my thing now. :>
  25. The Morrowind expansion for TESO has been announced a while ago- now they did a first walk through some of the areas: https://www.twitch.tv/bethesda It starts at about 30 minutes. The shown game world actually looks pretty cool, imo. Really a shame this is an MMO and there likely will be 50 and more players running over your screen at the end of the day. Also I so, so, so, so hate the armor design they've put into this game. It looks all kinda the same and nothing is somewhat bulky. Everyone wears skin-tight clothes. Ugh.
