  1. When I replied, there was only one link. Now you make it look like i disregarded two potential sources (havent checked out the second now because i am on the phone). Good job. Also funny how you right away aggressively imply i wouldnt listen to your stuff despite me not being involved in this thread before. Thats why i stopped argueing politics on the internet years ago- it's just not worth the hassle.
  2. Disagreed. I dont acknowledge this one, because it's Breitbart and I bet they left some details out. That doesn't mean i wouldnt acknowledge any other. Besides, it was possible to jail people for hatespeech already since ever. That's not a Merkel invention, which some here imply.
  3. Do you have any source for this "threaten, bully and inprison germans who dare to stand up"? Because right now i cant think of any. Unless you mean idiots like these Reichsbürger folks who are basically on the same page as random american civil militia xy survivalist nuts.
  4. So a few days back there was this story with that man kicking a woman in the back down some stairs in Berlin. You folks probably heard about it. I thought it was really awesome and lol how the first response from politics was "we need more surveillance cameras!" ... As if the cameras would have prevented the crime. Hell, he even was already recorded and didnt gave a single shait about it. Just saying.
  5. Should become a good movie then, I guess.
  6. So, some LKW was running into people on a christmas market in Berlin. Lucky for me I wasn't around, I guess. Right now everyone's spilling rumors like crazy and this probably won't stop for the next week or two.
  7. It doesn't look that bad actually.
  8. I dont mind the graphic quality at all. But if I sit 2 meters from my big tv and struggle with "seeing" anything on it, then something is wrong- either with me or the game. And like I've said, I didn't experienced this with other games except maybe Red Dead Redemption back in the days.
  9. The graphics are extremely busy, everything moves constantly and everything sort of feels... Mingled together, often to the point where I find it difficult to focus on details. I found that playing the game sitting with my face in my screen actually helped mitigate that somewhat, but not entirely. Yeah, that seems to be it. I just wonder why it seems nobody else is reporting that. I would expect this at least from console peaseants who are forced to sit in front of the tv.
  10. Yeah, I just remember .
  11. Finally finished Witcher 3 today. It's a good game, but still somewhat fails to get my attention for long. It's probably also because I find it so hard to watch on my tv. I can't really explain it.. just that it feels really exhausting to me. Sometimes I can hardly see stuff on the screen, which doesn't happen to me with other games like MGS5 for example. Really can't explain it. Oh, and the tiny font doesn't help it much either. Now I only got Blood & Wine left to do... another day.
  12. Is there a way in Steam to see how many hours I've played certain games this year? Because right now I'm pretty sure New Vegas would win again, maybe closely behind ArmA3. I don't even remember any big game from 2016. Maybe The Division (somewhat) or Dark Souls 3, but I played none of these games extremely long. Oh wait, there is MGS5. I guess that's as close to my top game of 2016 as it can get. /Edit: Holy ****, MGS5 actually was released in 2015. So nevermind that then, I guess.
  13. Watched the first episode of Luther, and... well.. how to say... I can't shake off the feeling the writers started to furiously **** anytime they were able to have that Luther character say some pretentious crap. Luther is so good, Luther has a painful past, Luther knows everything the very moment he put a foot on a crime scene, etc... It all reminds me a bit of Bosch, but Bosch is - for me right now - the better of the two.
  14. Watched Suicide Squad right now. I think it wasn't as bad as people made it. The Joker-scenes are ok too. I guess people just expected way more Joker from all the trailers and stuff that came before. Basically the whole marketing of the movie was wrong and crap. Also the movie has huge problems with its pacing and it had some real weird music choices in the first half of it. IMO, most of these superhero / comic movies can't get the intro right. They try to cram so much stuff into it, introducing all the characters, etc. it just takes way too much time and then suddenly everyone of the main cast is friends and family 5 minutes into the real story. It's just really bad pacing. I think Batman vs. Superman had exactly the same problem, but I can't really remember, tbh. /Edit: Also basically what was said a few pages back:
  15. Weird. I don't remember that ME1 ever felt like the beginning of a trilogy to me. Maybe that came much later in development, when they couldn't change a lot anymore?
  16. Ive watched some of these "people of aleppo" videos, but i dunno. This kind of stuff seems super easy to fake, so basically nobody can tell how genue they really are. Especially the ones only showing the face and a blank wall behind them. Always reminds me of that one movie where they fake a war in some country with producing fake videos and news.
  17. Huh, I dunno. Maybe it's because I am rather experienced with game dev, but I always right away noticed how little your choices mattered. The e-mails with "hey, thx for doing stuff for me in the last game kthxbye" weren't helping the issue much either. Now that doesn't mean I didn't enjoyed the games-- played all 3 of them once and liked it a lot, despite the flaws. Still, the games never felt big on choice & consequences for me. /Edit: Alright, just saw that about a million people said basically the same now in this thread. :>
  18. I really can't get into Vikings and I don't understand why everyone likes that show so much. A long time ago I started with season 1, but quit it after about half the season, because it felt so dumb. Now a few weeks back I tried it again, because people keep talking good about that show... but again, I really can't get warm with it. Finished season 1, but it was just urgh... And I really don't like that main dude. He feels so unsympathetic to me.
  19. When I played the demo, that aspect was what irked me the most. I would have vastly preferred the game to feature a fixed isometric view. I'm of the completely opposite mind. I very much appreciate being able to freely rotate the camera to get a better look at things. It's not that it is a bad mechanic, but I never liked that in later Commandos games. To me, having a fixed camera limits where you can hide enemies in the level, particularly with tall buildings or cliffs. With a fixed camera you either can't hide enemies on the sides of buildings you can't see or you have to have transparency through the building (otherwise the game would be thoroughly unfair), which gives away where the enemy is. With a free rotating camera you can hide enemies wherever you like and it's up to the player to rotate the camera to find enemies that they wouldn't see from a certain camera angle. I guess I just really like casing the area and formulating a plan, and playing with the camera gives me something more to do while I'm studying guard routes and calculating timings in my head, it makes me feel more in control, more an active participant of the planning stage somehow, if that makes any sense. Well, that's an issue the map designer has to deal with. Of course with a fixed camera you can't have tall buildings with things going on behind them. Usually these kind of games (Commandos 1 + addon, Desperado, etc.) did it well, imo.

But while we're at it, let me quickly do some shameless self-promotion again. :>
  21. Damn, why did they not make Firefly Season 2.
  22. It does run kinda well on pc, if you add the 4gb patch and crash-fix, etc. At least FNV on my machine. :> I rarely see crashs nowadays. Fo3 on the other hand even without a single mod goes down the ****ter after approx 30 minutes of playing.
  23. Yeah it was Chris. What is that "scandal" did Sawyer cause? If I remember correctly gamebyro never performed well with ps3 either with Oblivion or FO3/Vegas. Don't know about Skyrim. He said something along the lines of gamebryo running the worst on a PS3 system. This was reason enough for people to jump the barricades.
  24. Can't say I was too fussed with Tropa de Elite myself (found it too caricaturesque), but Sicario I did love, and it's currently my favorite film of 2015. Its style and tone did remind me a heck of a lot to some of the past "war on terrorism" films like Zero Dark Thirty and Syriana too, which I also loved. Quite dark and disturbing, extremely tense, and Benicio del Toro's incredible in this. There's also a sequel in the works right now. Not sure I'm looking forward to it, but we'll see how it goes. Weird. I thought Sicaro was mediocre. It was kinda like... I don't know, it just went on. And then suddenly it became the story of a dude who wants revenge for his family. At the end of the movie I thought this is one of those that I will never watch for a second time.
  25. And then you get flak by thousands of insulted gamers who thought there should be yellow snow in the game, but there never is!
