  1. This actually reminds me of a couple years ago. I've lost my job because I've talked to a woman on the streets. She was kinda hot, so I initiated a simple conversion. Nothing fancy or unholy. Talked a bit about books and other stuff. Learned she had a child and boyfriend, so that thing was done for me. Anyway... jump ahead half a week, me sitting at work, suddenly getting called in to HR. Turns out she and her boyfriend appeared and told a grand story about me stalking and attacking her at the bus station (apparently she could only get free from my evil hands by kicking against my knee, then screaming and running away). This story completely steamrolled me. Also, of course, got terminated right away (temporary employment-- basically, you have no rights). Went to the police the same day, and indeed they visited a different police station at about 09:00 in the morning to fill a report. Got myself a lawyer for defense, but funny thing is, once the police tried to contact her again, she didn't respond at all and two or three months later the case was dropped. Lost my job, lost lots of lawyer-money, temporarily lost my sanity, permanently lost my trust in other people ( ). Oh, and I decided not to retaliate via lawsuit, because my lawyer made me clear that this would be just a waste of time and money, as she would never be convicted of anything anyway. In best case, it'll be a "nothing can be proven, so case is dropped", in worst case, it'll fire back at me. Just needs a male judge and she has to be pretty and start crying in front of him to settle it. Man, I just realized that I wasn't thinking about this event the past half year. Usually it comes back at least once per week, and it always makes me angry about not having reacted different at the time. Oh well.
  2. But what if you are bored in prison? Not even then? I mean if you're catcalling a woman and then go to prison for 10 years because of sexual harassment, you won't talk to your cell inmates for 10 years? That's hard to achieve. :>
  3. The what? And kind of sexual abuse? Rape or cat calling?
  4. I am more worried about the matchmaking system being patented. Suddenly you're unable to make a multiplayer game with matchmaking, because Activision claims you are using their property. Try to defend from that as a small studio. /edit: Ok, appears the headline tricked me. I still don't like such mechanics to be patentable. Also microtransactions are cancer, but wallet warriors just can't stop it, can they?
  5. I guess it's more about the fact that DLCs are cheaper to make and folks who already bought the vanilla game are more likely to buy the DLC as well.
  6. Only got that stupid dvd case thing of Arcanum and it's pretty ugly. On the other hand, I don't have the space for biig boxes anymore anyway now.
  7. I love this and can relate:
  8. This string of events made me lel in the morning. :> I can relate quite a lot. Though for me it is already enough to just go out normally. I'm like a totally different person then..
  9. Heh, I would like to see how old people react to Life is Strange. I mean, even I find it cheesy and embarrassing at times, and I'm barely in the 30s. So for someone being 80+, this must be a true alien experience.
  10. As far as I can remember, there is no Steam Workshop for Witcher 2?
  11. I am actually wondering if this helps anything.
  12. I never had steam reset my download status. If I remember right, the client is downloading in batches, no? So technically it should only revert to the last completed batch.
  13. I've started watching Lone Wolf and Cup. It's actually really good for a tv show from the 70s.
  14. Green blood and stuff wasn't done anymore in years. Germany had such a phase 10 years ago, but that's pretty much gone nowadays.
  15. I played ESO in the beta. It's an ok game if you play TES for the story, I guess. Personally I'd be more interested in the Morrowind expansion, but I see people only rarely talk about it, so I guess it's just ok-ish too.
  16. To be honest, most of it sounds like pure shovelware. It's kinda crazy... and sad. Technically, "so many people bought game x", but in truth it just has been in a package with something else and nobody really looked at it at all.
  17. I would just ignore such folk. Plenty people are making the mistake and react on it, therefore fueling it even more.
  18. Watched Baby Driver. It's a good movie.
  19. The ending of Enter the Dominatrix had been the best game ending I've seen in a long time. It was just so completely nuts. It would have been even more awesome if you could have kept the... dinosaur ride... in the game after that.
  20. Mass Effect 3 multiplayer had the same system. You play a match and then you get random loot. You could also spend money and get random loot. Nobody cared about this at all. Probably because the "chose your own color"-ending overshadowed it, no idea. I guess DX:MD really just had bad marketing. Ever since this "augment your something something" pre-release stuff happened, people were jumping on it at any time possible. Once you're in this phase, it's very hard for a game to get out of again.
  21. Did these big walker thingies always had red evil eyes?
  22. I don't really get why they had to waste a truckton of money on an online game first, to be able to make the singleplayer game. Pretty sure they just wanted to follow games such as World of Tanks, instead of releasing a singleplayer game that might or might not be played by just a few people before it'll be forgotten again. Now we're finally getting what we wanted all along.
  23. I don't mind spoilers, so... how? I've felt like I didn't really missed anything, but apparently I did. /Edit: Wait, does it have anything to do with this time travel mission, by chance? That one was pretty nice.
  24. Just finished Death of the Outsider. Think I liked it a tad more than Dishonored 2, though kinda sad about the much smaller maps. Then again, this also helped the performance a lot... game was running much better than its predecessor. Though I thought the story was quite confusing at first. It's set after Dishonored 2, but in the beginning Billie still has her arms and eye? Then loses the body parts by the Outsider? If it weren't for that news article at the beginning, I would have thought it's set *before* D2 started, explaining how Billie lost the limbs... Still pretty cool game, though. Wish I'd be a tad longer, as Billie is a cool character to play as.
