  1. Political correctness made it go away.
  2. I just don't feel motivated to spend more than a few seconds of time on the stupid quotes and the forum really isn't making it very easy since a while now. :>
  3. Really fun game and I don't usually like shooters (mostly because I suck at them). Agreed. It was a very solid old-school shooter, itching to try Shadow Warrior 2 right now. I tried that old HL2 in VR with the HTC Vive, but it wasn't a good experience. It looked great & stuff, but after playing for about half an hour I was white as paper. Never before did I experienced motion sickness like that. It's something about the way the character moves in that engine. Either the speed or whatever, it was killing me. Really, even minutes later I still felt like I'm about to vomit. Doom 3 on the other hand worked perfect. Felt nothing bad here. Only problem is that the motion controller stuff doesn't really feel like the weapons you carry. What I mean is, you don't have the actual weight, etc. the pistol still felt somewhat real, while the shotgun is completely off (also because you "one-hand" it). The assault rifle felt better again. All in all, after playing Doom 3 for a while, I got pretty exhausted due to all the standing and rotating and ducking (you have to duck by yourself... not just press a button) :> Oh, and while I am at it... Super Hot VR was the best **** ever. Especially if you got the free space to walk around a bit, it's Super Fun. PS: Quote function in this forum is still complete BS. With the wysiwyg-editor I am unable to correctly remove parts of the quote and with the BBCode editor it's all a complete mess (still, since how long now?).
  4. That's not a long time then.
  5. I am tempted to give it a try though.
  6. Yeah, the movie is supposed to play in a version of the events where Roland kept the Horn of Eld. Still, it really looks rather compressed, given the amount of source material. While much of it is simply unsuitable for adaptation - Wizard and Glass is one giant 800 page flashback and Wolves of the Calla is simply The Magnificent Seven set in Roland's world (never mind the parts where King shows up) it's still jarring to see Susannah and Eddie apparently dropped completely and all the villains fused into The Man in Black. The trailer also tried way too hard in showing how much of an awesome badass Roland is. I really think they should have turned this into a tv show instead. That would have given them more time to un-crowd the movie (and I bet the movie will feel crowded as hell, because there is only so much you can do in ~2 hours).
  7. I am unsure about the trailer / movie. Hope it won't be disappointing.
  8. I actually liked Ant-Man, because it felt somewhat different than most of the comic book movies. Doctor Strange was ok-ish, but still gave me the exact same feeling as any other Marvel movie, even though someone once told me in here how Marvel movies all have a different genre they cater to. :> I think the worst offender is always the "boss battle". The moment i notice we're heading for it and when it's going on, the movie usually lost me. Doesn't matter if Avengers, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man or Logan.. the moment the film switches to "we have to show sum awsum fightings now!" it all becomes the same.
  9. I am not sure the hundreds of other ships in the area would really get what was going on? Still sux that Miller is gone. He partly defined the show for me. Also learned yesterday that season 2 of Hap and Leonard is out. Cool. American Gods ep1 was... interesting? I've heard / read nothing about it before, so I was left a tad in the dark. The over the top intro was a bit of a "meh", but all right, will see how this is going to end.
  10. Watched Logan. It's a good movie but I didn't liked the end fighty stuff and who he was fighting. Also i can't shake off the feeling that the movie needs at least one more hour of playtime.
  11. So basically Thimbleweed Park is what Broken Age should have been?
  12. Damn, maybe I'll have to check it out then. Really wasn't interested in it before because I thought it's a multiplayer only title. I loved Singularity. Played it a few times in a row.
  13. Is that a singleplayer thing? I thought it's only some multiplayer team based shooter thingy?
  14. Sharing? What is this communist propaganda in here.
  15. He used a shot showing the NPC armor mod, but he doesn't talk about it, sad.
  16. Interstate '76 is still the best. Never liked any other car combat games, because they were either over the top or just didn't had the same kind of "real" feeling that Interstate '76 gave me. It makes me mad how we probably won't ever get some sort of HD remake of that game. New light engine, better shadows, better terrain graphics, more detailed cars, particle effects for dust when going off the road... that's all I need, really. Everything else can remain as is. Well, ok, maybe higher resolution cutscenes too.
  17. I thought it's nothing but hot air from both sides.
  18. From pictures and stuff this reminds me a lot of the very old Abomination. It had a similar theme as well-- mutants are all over the city, you got your base and your men and had to manage that. I thought it was a pretty fun game, but I always hated the hectic real time combat. /Edit:
  19. I dont get this thread. What's it supposed to tell me?
  20. Heh, just wanted to post that he never said he doesn't like complex systems... good that I've read the thread till the end. PS: Gunplay in Bloodlines was a pain in the arse unless you dropped skillpoints into weapons skills as quickly as possible. Same for any other shooter game RPGs... At least let me hit at what I'm aiming my gun... Everything else can be influenced by character skills.
  21. Ugh, don't remind me of Deadpool, that movie was a pain to watch. :>
  22. Good old Monkey Island-style.
  23. Probably just to have something big in front of you. Makes sense in VR, imo.
  24. Isn't that like 1:1 taken from Morrowind? :>
  25. Huh, sorry, but no. Stalker games really aren't RPGs. You can't even argue with stats here, because there are none. In the same sense you could say that any FarCry game is an RPG. That's just not right.
