  1. Indeed, the endings have been - on paper - super cool. Especially because it all made sense and it's not "let's bomb something for the lulz". I personally have no clue, which location I would have bombed. Would have been a very though decision.
  2. Nope, doesn't looks like Van Buren to me, due to the changes. First, the story is 100% different and second, the only location out of Van Buren, which can be seen in New Vegas (Hoover Dam) looks totally different than in the VB design documents.
  3. This screen was made at Hoover Dam. Looks somehow small to me. Hope the dam will be big and gigantic ingame. Beside this: Legion and NCR still fighting over Hoover Dam? So far, New Vegas so much looks like a prequel to Van Buren to me. If just the year of time would be different... then my loved Hoover Dam city could still happen.
  4. I want both. :>
  5. Finished the demo today. Not really impressed by it, will not buy nor play it otherwise. Risen > Gothic 4 in every game element.
  6. Monsterspawn works, but they are invulnerable, like the players (well, except with tnt, you can blast them away). But yeah, hope that this stuff will be fixed in close future. It makes the game much more interesting.
  7. I am playing it on a private server with two friends. The world just can become so huge... I've made myself like three houses already and inbetween are many miles of hills and water and stuff. It's hard to find the one and the other, heh. But imo it's not possible to play this on a public server. Too many griefers and people who want to **** up everything for everyone else. Just like in every multiplayer game. Beside this, I hope that the multiplayer part will be improved 'soon'. More stuff to do, more to craft, working 100% survival mode, etc.
  8. You've got a run, eh? Finally I see Hoover Dam. I am very tensed about how it will be ingame.
  9. From what I've heard, the New Vegas preview in french Canard PC sounds pretty good. The dude who gave Fallout 3 a 4/10 rating, is pretty enthousiastic and impressed by New Vegas, because of it's quest design and so on.
  10. No. In the Fallout 1 and 2 inventory you could see the item images as soon as you enter the inventory. You didn't have to scroll down the list to see the images and you didn't needed to read the item names (watching images always > watching text). Alsounlike in Fallout 3, you don't carry that much items with you around. I don't understand it. Does it mean that the PC version get's extra / higher res textures or is what you see (i. e. on the screenshots or console version), the highest res textures that the pc version gets?
  11. I liked it in Stalker, but I am a bit worried about it in NV, because of one simple point: The inventory. In Stalker, you saw all your items (mostly) at once and with image. So you open your inventory, see the image, double click on it and done. In Fallout 3, you needed to scroll down a damn big list to find what you want, then you have to activate the item.
  12. Heh, latest rumor: GOG bought up by Steam. (English version below)
  13. Check out here.
  14. Wait, it's not yet done? I've heard about that when I was still playing Oblivion.. which was many years ago. :> In my opinion, Nehrim is way better than Oblivion vanilla in every aspect. For a mod, pretty impressive work.
  15. If this is a stunt, it is a really bad one.
  16. I have no doubt that I will not like the gameplay in New Vegas (running around, gunning down stuff all the time). What I am looking forward to is how the story will evolve and the general additions to the Fallout canon. Also I am interested in the characters in the game and their stories. As example, I still don't like that the game only features one area and not a real worldmap with various locations, etc.
  17. Yeh, yeh, it's the same thing with the flies and the bull****. Just because many people like a game, it doesn't mean that it's a good game. Maybe it's just damn simple and easy to master for lots of people. Someone remembers "Moorhuhn"? It got millions of players, but damn... it was so ****ty damn boring and whatnot short time game.
  18. Well, Fallout 3 ran ok-ish on my computer with the settings I've assigned. As it has been said that the engine was optimized here and there in NV, I doubt that it will run more bad than Fallout 3 so... And even if, I could simply buy new hardware. Try this on a console. :>
  19. As I am playing on computer, I will not care about such stuff.
  20. I like how super mutants look like super mutants in it.
  21. Or the game still has so many bugs, that they need more hands to fix everything... last minute. I think this for sure might be fore DLCs. Let's just hope we will not see any Area 51 in any DLC. :>
  22. You'll probably kill me for this but I think there's potential for something good on the East Coast too. Just hire some better writers and keep the tweaks to the mechanics made by Obsidian for New Vegas. ... If it's like Fallout 3 I guess I'll just wait for Obsidian's next spin-off. Well, I don't mind to see a next Fallout game on the east coast. But damn. Bethesda just can't make good rpgs. What they make good is big sandbox worlds with editors for players to fill it up with sex and nude and lots of weapon mods.
  23. Well, there is no doubt that a Fallout 4 from Bethesda will suck again. But hey, maybe we would see the Enclave again!
  24. I hope Vault 17's experiment was that there was no experiment. This experiment crap is going far too far.
