6min load on PC 25+ min load on Xbox
tecknotot replied to dvsnathan's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I'll bet you the game is not optimized yet for Xbox since its still in early access. I bet you through this process you'll start noticing load time changes as well as many other aspects of the game. I know when I beta test things in the past, the software is not optimized yet until further down the road or if it is, its optimized enough that the software can run. -
This is a known issue and theyre working on it. Workaround if you recycle the armor dummy/weapon mount whatever you placed should also drop.

Bugs (ants) Stuck in Rocks
tecknotot replied to CaitlynGenders's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
I found that a gas arrow does wonders with the insects stuck in rocks. -
Did you try to recycle the weapon mount? There is an invisible bug on the armor dummy and mounts and some say recycling them dropped what they put up.

I posted a suggestion under suggestions for a timer on blueprints. I have this bug too with a screenshot to help the devs out. -
Aphids location?
tecknotot replied to tecknotot's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I heard some aphid noises at the rocks near the pond and couldnt see them so I used a gas arrow on the rock and they died. Voila! Thanks for all the tips peeps. -
Interview with Adam Brennecke (Game Director)
tecknotot replied to Tartansnake's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
That is already in the game sort of. I seen people draw insects into a corral and boxed them in. I seen others drop a weevil nose/spoiled meat near ants to draw them. -
Interview with Adam Brennecke (Game Director)
tecknotot replied to Tartansnake's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
Im glad taming is not going to be included because it doesnt seem realistic to me. I just tell those that want taming to play ARK. -
Im just thinking of another way to keep your raw meat from spoiling instead of just dehydrating them.

Does anyone know if there is a general/specific area where aphids roam? I have a BURG.L quest to kill them and having the worse luck finding them rascals.

Secrets and stuff you've found

I found two areas that are not complete and you can "fall" into them for an endless pit death. One is near the square planter and the other is in the haze area. -
Interview with Adam Brennecke (Game Director)
tecknotot replied to Tartansnake's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
I really enjoyed the interview and Adam seems like a very likeable person. One thing he did mention in the interview is a new insect that has not been leaked, so I'll be looking out for that one on 27. -
When I first started this game I saw a ladybug and in real life, theyre pretty much harmless and eat aphids that destroy your tomato plants. I always thought they were friendly UNTIL I noticed some of the blueprints as I got more advanced required me to kill a ladybug for armor *GASP* How could you? Anyways, I think the introduction of friendly bugs or helper bugs would be different and know not everything in the ecosystem wants to eat/bite/sting you. They would possibly be used as a mule? Here's another example of a friendly insect, a caterpillar that maybe you can use as a bus and stand on it then when it metamorphosis into a butterfly just maybe use that like a plane? Also, a praying mantis is also known to be good or even a grasshopper.

but they spoil and you cant use spoiled aphid in your smoothie. The freezer idea would keep them from spoiling instead of turning them into jerky.

There is currently a bug in the game when you put a blueprint in the ground and it can not be accessed. There is no way of removing the hammer icon and its an eye sore. What if there was a timer on blueprints if you dont do anything in two or three days then the blueprint just disappears along with the hammer icon? See attached photo as example of this bug. https://gyazo.com/33c76854d7ef3bc195f74b9b5841e5c9
