  1. Good way to sneak some revenue in.

See, Brian Herbert felt his dad loved Dune more than him, so the new Dune books are his attempt at revenge.
  3. Broken Sword. So far is a pretty fun game, I rather enjoyed that cryptographic puzzle with the letters.
  4. FIFA 12 ? Yep. SSDG.
  5. Not sure about your city, but mostly it's sedans here and those don't do freight. Idling traffic is probably the worst for the air, I'd guess and from talking to bike couriers (wondered why they wear these filtering masks on their faces). Must be due to my mom smoking so I'm used to being around smokers, but largely don't get the disgust people have for them, heh. Although, considering there's a large cigarette smuggling business here, I wonder how much the drug business would shrink if everything were to be legalized and taxed.
  6. I'm not sure I benefit from walking past a street crammed with idling cars of varying efficiencies pumping out their exhaust.
  7. Good looking dog, wish I could get that breed but space is a problem. Still, rather fond of my sister's dachshunds though - even if the dogs are stubborn and one of them believes himself Master of us all. Nice relaxing day to get my laundry and cleaning done.
  8. Stop stating that they know they've lost X amount if it's not reliable. Qualitative moaning works just as well for the purposes of pitching a DRM scheme. It is funny to see Ubisoft get burned though, AC2, Settlers and now Driver.
  9. So, stuck with bunk loss data it is, then.
  10. I think it's developers who claim statistical losses that are probably based on bunk. Would be neat if someone did a proper study on all of this, but ah well.
  11. http://www.heresy-online.net/forums/showthread.php?t=98069 Short of it, guy finds a book accidentally included within another book.
  12. Yes, but then any game we play we can take as beta testing. In terms of their cycle, it's not a beta (largely didn't play like one in my experience either), unless CDPR is undertaking some really byzantine scheme involving one project actually being a stage of another and is also charging their UAT users, heh. Still maintain no one's flakking them for this, is because there's nothing there. Then again, if it's ideas/concepts they're "beta"'ing, well I guess, that could work. But every developer does that with a release, no ? Has anyone played with the new patch by the way ? Granted I think everyone here who played it was done with it after beating it, so probably a 'no', hehe.
  13. Half the fun in FIFA is dealing with the BS AI. Well at least the cheats, the programmed vulnerabilities does wear a bit (as fun as it is to paste Barcelona 15-2 )
  14. Kind of silly to have a few days when you must 'spare' the air. Feels good, I guess.
  15. Funny day. Got an email from regional manager telling me to go meet some guy I've never heard of in some building we don't have a client in. Then a follow up mail saying "Wrong person. Forget this was sent to you".
  16. Well here smokers do pay hefty sales taxes for the privelege. Is weird though, the anti-smoking people here seem to want everything BUT to make them flat out illegal.
  17. Try not to die.
  18. You could also look up what a beta and beta-testing entails Anyway, it's nothing to get joyfully excited about, but nothing wrong with people being pleased with support of a game or for the company to keep on fixing issues or adjusting things due to feedback. Blizzard's good for that, for example. And it is a good standard to have, providing fixes and what not (it's what I do all day, woo!) Crafty Poles indeed. First the GOG prank, and now this Ah, much nicer when I have coffee.
  19. Never actually seen anyone use the patch notes alone though and do that. Though, maybe I need to read more forums.

As a result of that going around the office, coworker says Dune was boring and overly descriptive.

    Probably useless to you all.
  22. Well the joke I had planned would have probably.
  23. How dare you break from the Hive Mind.
