My company spent all its money on buying other companies, so we all got the shaft on pay this year. But considering how much work I actually do, I'm still overpaid Time to start looking, which will be depressing.

So in the last mission of XCOM, I appear to be stuck in a large room, doors not opening and no aliens about. Appears to be a bug, again, hm. I'm guessing Duke, my Psi trooper, will be sacrificing himself for the greater good due to the "Volunteer must survive" objective

https://twitter.com/pcgamer/status/317353751331622912 Creative Assembly's next Total War is Total War Arena, structured around an all-multiplayer, team-based design. More details to follow soon. Heh, ok.

Shooting black ooze while using wooden boards as cover against alien weaponry, exciting!

Steam sales and GoG make it pretty easy for the most part. Or games I know I'll sink a lot of time into due to friends playing, like D3 or BL & BL2.

I always use $1 per hour as my mark for value.

When you burn through the cash you want to spend, nothing to do but scan. You can put a satellite above those areas to affect the panic levels, not an immediate fix though. Otherwise I can't see any way to proactively affect the panic levels.

This Bioshock game is the greatest thing known to man or so it seems. Maybe I'll look at the series when they're all $5 or so on a sale or something. Plodding along in XCOM, not really enjoying it so much as just trying to level up troops in specialties I'm lacking in so I can just be done with this.

Hm, interesting a branch in the US, well if only just for marketing/PR.

Splinter Cell was pretty funny for that. Convenient pitch black areas in highly guarded areas.

Gaming being inclusive is bad because once you let all the unwashed masses in, well things go down. But more seriously, if by inclusive you mean it's not offensive to them or posing barriers in any way then sure, those who want to will naturally file their way in. That's a bit more passive than I've seen 'inclusive' used, say like in Engineering, but is a more sensible way to me. Also Sterling is obnoxious -
Ah ok, I thought they were just too weak for it.

Played XCOM as it's incomplete and well I need to finish things off. Have a soldier at the top of the Psi tree, but can't use Gollop yet. So, in the meantime I vainly try to not send teams full of Colonels out to stomp aliens.

Got up on time, went back to bed and woke up late. Also misplaced my watch, now have to go through the entire day with this annoying knowledge that it's not there. Hope I didn't lose it, but if I did, well I still have another one to fix.

And now you have good source material for cool ring tones!

IIRC holy paladins can now spam the crap out of Exorcism for impressive dps. Although it depends on your level, and if you're high level, why don't you duel spec to Ret? (Or LFD chain like ever bored person) No excorism, we get Denounce, decent damage but fecking boring to spam it. I miss the old seal system where you could judge wisdom or light and run a seal different to that.

Cyprus Financial Crisis, a real collapse possible?

Don't imagine it's that simple. -
Wish they'd not bothered with the whole monster spawning system. Getting ambushed by a Muton that suddenly appeared in the middle of my squad wasn't fun Hopefully they've fixed that endless alien turn bug. Cost me two Ironman games that way.

Levelling my Frost DK and seeing things die with my huge numbers is really a contrast to my Holy Paladin. Why, oh why, did they take consecrate away.
-
Ah, ok, cool. I didn't bother looking for it as all discussion I'd heard about it was that it was lost or in the hands of those that didn't share. Well, serves me right.

I keep hoping they do a single player Warcraft RPG. They should totally bring back that cancelled graphic adventure. The genre is back! Nah, you can find the parts they made online. Abandonia has it, I think, but I'm ot sure. They should make a new version, not bring that one back. It was terrible and deserved to be cancelled. Hm, thought the only Warcraft Adventures copy available was in some Russian guy's hands and he refuses to share it (I guess he can be sued). For a rough beta, it wasn't all that bad (hard to judge WIP in any case), puzzles were pretty simple and some of the characters are rather weirdly portrayed, although that is with the benefit of hindsight from WoW/WC3. World seems a lot more grim, too.

Deponia, but Rufus is such a douchebag.

The grind is the part that always kills it for me. I enjoy the leveling content and soloing, but the second I have to start doing reps or dungeons multiple times, I just stop logging in and unsub. How is the leveling content? Well levelling through MoP was enjoyable, they've got a good hang of phasing and some of the characters aren't terrible. Leveling in WoW is pretty fun I must admit, for me, end game is where it dies for me.
