  1. Your cat seems displeased by the other cat on your fence.
  2. Was surprised at only 37 years, but I suppose as it was just a plan that's not too bad. And pretty much all discussions here are just slugouts, it's mildly entertaining to watch especially if people start to get pissy.
  3. Games still get bad reviews these days ?
  4. Oby's pretty stable, I find.
  5. Alright, on our team we insult each other a fair amount with little jibes about being dumb, slackers, etc. so was curious what the remark was to gauge it.
  6. What was the joke ?
  7. Thread title is like something out of the Daily Mail
  8. Given circumstances, Exterminatus might not be that repugnant. Unless your Kryptmann, they tend to use that as a last resort when the planet and populace are doomed. Given that the alternatives are being eaten, tortured and your soul eaten or enslaved or just other nasty ways, not that immoral to euthanize people. Maybe.
  9. Heresy spreads and consumes all it touches.
  10. Well no doubt it's expensive. But capital punishment isn't cheap, have to go through appeals and ensure that you're absolutely as correct as you can be - a very final step to kill someone after all. Sealing someone up in a box for life is probably a much harsher punishment as they have to suffer through a loss of freedom. And you can also work that person as well, although that may drift close to slavery for some.
  11. I've been meaning to rewatch those, I know I enjoyed them as a little guy but about the only thing I can remember about them now is 'Paint it Black' and that Sergeant Zeke was in St Elsewhere (because my mum mentioned it every single episode). Might be time to see if I can find them, and Homicide: LotS for that matter. I found a bunch of episodes here on Youtube, sadly for the DVD release or something they lost the rights to all the period music they used - so no Paint it Black in the intro and alot of the music in the episodes is replaced by some generic riffing.
  12. Locking someone up in a tiny room for 23 hours a day can be arguably worse than death, no ?
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lz8EDvU7pJc The super speed run and leap onto the building was pretty cool. Worth getting on a Steam sale, so far.
  14. Slow day today, but I have tomorrow off, so yahoo. Also, it turns out a photo of serried ranks of skulls from the killing fields of Cambodia is a good way to end an email thread of weird images at work.
  15. Good luck. If that fails try listening to Carl Sagan speak, always helps konk me out
  16. What are they saying in its defense ? Doesn't seem like you'd get much value out of it to me, after one session wouldn't it be in bad shape ?
  17. And they're handy for rapidly building wonders.
  18. Civ V's talent tree way of doing it was rather disappointing to me. As for terraforming, towards the end in SMAC you could drill boreholes, install giant mirrors to enhance solar collectors nearby, raise elevation (or decrease it), affect rainfall indirectly - that'd have an impact on food production although I never really noticed alot.
  19. Should work easily, I'd say. Who holds the rights to the IP, EA ? Then again, I doubt they need to do a direct sequel - it's colonization of an alien world.
  20. Plodding along in my Civ V game, managed to kill off three more Civs. Did have a fun job assaulting a city with an artillery unit AND a Frigate in it. Pretty much one shot all my ground units attacking, heh.
  21. I miss the good old days when Rainbow Six was their flagship franchise. Same. I miss that and Ghost Recon.
  22. Ender's Game trailer
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BWI6iRSLV0 I think they're still going with the OTT approach.
  24. Helps to be free of the shackles of history I suppose, if I recall Reynolds mentioned something of that in the manual (well written manual too), will check when I find it. The ability to design units, modify your civics was great fun coming from Civ 2.
  25. Well, renegade would work with an Ultramarine - just have them do something outside of the Codex. Avoiding Chaos corruption while going through this hypothetical game is necessary.
