People are too hung up on right and wrong when this is a game being played. Think DE was hinting at that, not that Russia messing about with Ukraine or the US/EU making designs on the Ukraine (even accounting for out of context, the phone discussions are a bit suspicious) are okay or good, but just how each player is responding to moves. Indirect involvement is involvement nonetheless, and it allows you to claim your hands are clean. Russia just does things more brazenly (seems to be a thing with Russians and/or Slavic people if I can generalize for an aside).

Playing GTA 4 with IceHancer, everything is pretty shiny. Shame about the red sky bug and the cinematics being overly bright.

I've not really followed the game that much but I don't believe there'll be player controlled capital ships. I imagine most of the SC fans would find that boring (a peeve how people say EVE needs direct control...when you're piloting a massive BS or cruiser.). The dogfighting should be pretty fast paced,

Well firstly because 'gamers' are twits at events like this. But it is nice to see something from this, it is pre-alpha as well. I wish the view were cleaner, so something out of Freespace where it's all translucent HUD elements rather than you getting the immersion of your ship's fuselage in your way (but Roberts seems to dig stuff like that).

Zakaria is superlative ? Hm, never really impressed by his interviews. CNNi is supposedly better but I don't think we get it here or pay for it. Subtlety is probably a stronger suit in the West when it comes to things like this so never think they're nice and tidy.

Was more of finding the prideful choice of language amusing rather than doubting your claim. But then again, there are conspiracy theories and conspiracy theories. Not sure what photos of military equipment at a military base are supposed to prove, without a 'before' photo to indicate an actual buildup. The one showing "Spetznaz" was pretty rich. Russia saying NATO is saber rattling is to be expected, shrug at it like you will at warnings of the Russian Army sweeping towards Poland or something else. Preferable to the alternative, but all this jawing is tiresome.

Still don't get how that was a huge flaw for people, hearing some say they couldn't progress in the game for it. Camera-relative movement was pretty easy for me. Good work by the modders though
