Hm, can't really see a method to change the way hookers work in GTA, they're like the gun store or clothing store NPCs, they are there just there for a function like lots of the NPCs. I guess one could imagine a backstory for the nameless whore on the corner. They definitely could do it with the strippers that are the 'girlfriends' in 5, though. So I guess removal is the only option to resolve this perceived problem. As for good writing in games, depends on the game - and audience, sometimes they aren't too fussed about it. UT/CS/Quake are fun games and doesn't need writing as the aim is just on the skill contests, most RPGs not so much. Don't think I've met many people that play GTA mind the story much more than they would an action flick (there are some entertaining NPCs, though) and mainly focus on other things in the game on, free-roaming or shooting or stunts, etc.

No tragedy goes to waste, I guess. Hah, yeah right. Might not be much bad feeling if the people of SC do it and aren't feeling bullied by enlightened people north of them, but fat lot taking this flag down is going to do. I guess some people will pat themselves on the back from it.

No ? For a game designer I'd think that would be one, you design games that sell well (or work on games that do) and that works in your favour when trying to get ahead in the industry. Was like that, somewhat, at Sierra, recall Jensen mentioning that Williams would give designers one chance and if it sold, then you'd move up and get another. It doesn't have to mean you worked hard or put in a lot of effort. A lot of selling well is based on marketing or pure, dumb luck. True, but you still move ahead based on that. You did right by the people cutting your paychecks, after all.

I am sort of interested in those, but there's the fact that it's Ubisoft. Still, the new GR game may be fun, even if the MP will be some tiresome bull****.

Yeah, was a slight help - though on the last run I did most of them were inside. Still pushing along, thankfully the hostage takers don't hear the gunfire and flashbangs on the other side of the wall.

DX:MD is about the one thing I will definitely look out and buy on release, Dishonored 2, XCOM 2 I will wait for a sale on - am interested in them but nothing too hot. Hitman may not suck, so will wait on that.

States have strong identities in the US, no ? Definitely. They all have their own flags. Yeah, cute. But if the state and its people felt it was something part of their identity so not all that stupid. Interesting roadblocks they put up to stop it being taken down, though, well played.
