Restarting that now, forgot how much I like Bellonda (BH and KJA's handling and killing her off in their books is a small reason they can both get ****ed). Book 5's ending seemed very rushed. My paperbacks are indeed shoddy as well, half of book 5 has Paul referred to as Maud'dib, then switches to Muad'Dib. And in book 6 one page has "Honored Matre" replaced by spaces. I get a kick of defective books, favourite example was a Warhammer 40k book that had 6 pages from a different book entirely inserted into it. -

Yes. But they're not showing me combat footage, or if they do I only watch it if its not going to be some gory stuff. These days I don't even bother, although watching ERA work is always interesting to see so I look for that.

You probably could. Not much insight in knowing some FPV drone blew a guy apart somewhere. Equipment losses can give you a sense of priorities or potential pushes I guess. While people are dying there not that gory. Some people really seem to want to watch snuff films and truck out some excuse that they don't want to flinch from reality or some other edgy nonsense. Good test of that is how they react to their team getting killed, heh.

Still working my way through Caesar 4. This isn't very challenging. Combat in this game sucks, wish they'd kept it simple like C3. But at least my cities are pretty, still not sure of best layout, at least for equities. Patricians needs insane space for entertainment and such. D4 PTR is pretty fun I hear, so am going to try that. -
Border guards going to be busy.

Joys of turning off a process that takes two hours to restart by accident. Fun day -

Made hot cross buns that are not immediately fatal, so that's a plus. -

Yep, bit of a forced segue to what was already covered in earlier lectures, and you'd think Duncan would have already seen that a couple of times already with the alliusions to the Fish Speakers being horny buggers. I guess Herbert really wanted me to get the point, heh. Started Heretics, good thing he let us know Lucilla has a good rack. -

Lagging behind you, finished GEoD today. Was more enjoyable now than in back the 90s when I read it first, but still don't fully get the novel. Nayla having some weird sexual experience watching Idaho climb was pretty funny. -

Well no clue why I missed that post right before mine, I checked previous page. Maybe didn't reload the page. Whoops then. https://www.gamesindustry.biz/sega-sells-relic-and-will-cut-240-jobs-across-uk-studios Relic is independent again -

Still not used to Caesar 4's mechanics, at least when designing cities and I keep forgetting it's not always one mine to two factories (well for some it works). Although it is a nice change from Caesar 3 where workplaces need homes nearby, but city sprawls out and seems a little less realistic to me. So blundering my way through the campaign. Military command is more annoying than C3, not sure why they had to add depth to a side feature - also no triumphal arch for sending my legions to aid the Empire : feh! -
If you're talking about terrorist attacks, not sure military border defense is relevant. Towers got dropped in NYC, that didn't mean the US military wasn't effective. But ok, Russia is ripe to be overrun by ISIS. Well, forced to hold back by others or just their manpower limitation?
-
RVC didn't gain much, even with armour and artillery and whatever else Ukraine helped with, though. And unlikely ISIS is going to be running with that. But I suppose people will be back rooting for oppressed Muslims to rise up and disintegrate Russia or something.

20% by your count should be strong enough. They also have the Rosvgardia.
