Annual air show starting, always tempted to go but then I realize it's the same ****ing jets every year and crowded like literally everything else in this city. At least I'll get to amuse myself reading the annual debates - air shows are bad as they traumatize pets, refugees versus the pro arguments of it's fun, appreciate engineering (this one is hilarious) or the brave aerospace companies that defend our freedom (even funnier). Sadly they practice on other side of city, our first year in the new house saw the Blue Angels go over our house, a formation of 5 going slow and remarkably low - must have been maybe 2000 ft

Lesson learned though. Wait 10 years to buy a game. I hear this "Skyrim" game is fun. -

https://www.gog.com/game/tropico_4 Tropico 4 free. I feel silly for spending $8 on it 11 years ago now. -

New WoW expansion today, so guess it's that. Got bored in Warband and cheating to make the Swadian pretender Queen, except Harlaus is MIA and his vassals are my prisoners, so seems I broke the game. -

I wasn't talking about the FFL in the first place. But no matter. I don't see why we need to care about your bickering on the Codex, either.

Sale on Ukrainian games - https://www.gog.com/en/promo/2024_ukraine_days Should go nab Cossacks. Remember, if you don't buy, Putin wins. -
Yes, totally not the International Legion in Ukraine. The idea talk is cheap isn't all that new though, just remember this is a sporting event.

About the same as NAFO members or people moaning about the West's cowardice going to join the legion.

Got Bannerlord, is very different from M&B Warband. But at least the UI feels better. -
She touches on headlines in that, but probably shouldn't. Overreaction in all the reporting, Kharkiv offensive spelled doom for the world, now the Kursk one has completely turned the tide, etc. "It allows Kyiv to address its partners from a position of strength" made me chuckle a bit, as well. https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/15/politics/russia-has-diverted-several-thousand-troops-from-occupied-ukraine-to-counter-kursk-offensive-us-officials-say/index.html If true, then at least less reserves in the south is an accomplishment. So far good progress, they dropped one of three bridges over the Seym river, Russians will have pull back behind it.

Won't distract from the Ukrainian offensive at all.

Also from WSJ. https://www.wsj.com/world/europe/nord-stream-pipeline-explosion-real-story-da24839c "Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky initially approved the plan, according to one officer who participated and three people familiar with it. But later, when the CIA learned of it and asked the Ukrainian president to pull the plug, he ordered a halt, those people said. Zelensky’s commander in chief, Valeriy Zaluzhniy, who was leading the effort, nonetheless forged ahead. "
