The All Things Political Topic - In politics stupidity is not a handicap

Well in terms of disagreeing, you've not seeing the reporting on Colombia "caving", etc ? Plenty of Americans rejoicing at this show of power, which is rather hilarious - these people are like the Russians we've always heard that only understand force Well, at least he writes better than Trump. -

Seemed to be how those people were treated specifically, rather than anything about the deportations in general. Apparently a great victory for the US to make Colombia kneel, though -

https://thehill.com/homenews/house/5104133-rep-andy-ogles-proposes-trump-third-term-amendment/ Ogles proposed an amendment on Thursday that says, “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.” These people have too much free time. -

How are you so sure? Muck about with officials and put the right people as judges, you can do a lot. Long way to go, but the time needed to cover that distance isn't all that long. One helpful thing would be a crisis to scare people, for example. Americans like most are ok with a lot when worried about some boogeyman. -
The full text of his post is a read. "I’m not looking to hurt Russia. I love the Russian people, and always had a very good relationship with President Putin - and this despite the Radical Left’s Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX. We must never forget that Russia helped us win the Second World War, losing almost 60,000,000 lives in the process. All of that being said, I’m going to do Russia, whose Economy is failing, and President Putin, a very big FAVOR. Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT’S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE. If we don’t make a “deal,” and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries. Let’s get this war, which never would have started if I were President, over with! We can do it the easy way, or the hard way - and the easy way is always better. It’s time to “MAKE A DEAL.” NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE LOST!!!" USSR lost 60MM, damn.

Strange, double post, 10 minutes after the first one. But useful https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-demands-apology-after-bishop-asked-him-to-have-mercy-on-lgbtq-people-and-migrants

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckg750yzdr8o Interesting timing for this. But I suppose Israel has a biblical right to that land.

Luckily the US is a post factual state
-
I am sure Von Papen, Ludendorff and others didn't notice it until too late. That said, probably not. I am pretty sure they'll have a civil war rather than become some fascist theocracy.
-
No comparing them is fine. Just shows how shot through the US system is getting
-
Considering Trump and his pardons now and before, this shouldn't be an issue for anyone. Biden should have pardoned Luigi

It killing the WHO or not isn't the only consequence. The US was funding them for so long for a reason.
-
And again, are you supporting the withdrawal? It being a good idea is wholly independent of whether or not BRICS that you're hyper fixated on steps up or not
-
What's hard about understanding why it's an issue, the US retreating from an international organization is a statement and will have an impact.
-
China is the obvious choice, not BRICS. But Europe is there as well. Isn't a huge ask though. The arguments for the US leaving seem like tedious politics, well that and people thinking the WHO supercedes the CDC. But I forget your slant in this.
-
You think the US shouldn't fund the WHO? Americans really don't grasp the idea of soft power sometimes.
-
Sort of an irrelevant retort, why shouldn't the US support the WHO? Because now you buy into Russian talking points? Why is BRICS your immediate go to when the rest of the West contributes less, I think Gates contributed more than France and others.

Wonder what exactly they'll do with the executive orders regarding the cartel. Bomb sites in Mexico?
-
I am surprised he needs to abuse the laws regarding states of emergency with a servile Congress. Well, also if there even is a need for the military to intervene. But details.

True enough, at least Gaza. Sudan, Tigray is just black people dying so is no biggie. It'll keep on happening though, the Game never stops.
