  1. Abrams seems less impressive with the US reasoning over time. But send some anyway, their usefulness isn't required versus their being donated and thus allowing the better suited Leopards to be sent. Well unless the requirement is 1:1 anyway.
  2. Wonder why the US doesn't just send Abrams as well. They have enough to backfill Leopards and increase their market share easily.
  3. Hm, well it was what I am doing today. Can't be helped I guess with a team spread over 13 hours worth of time zones. I like that Slate referred to this as barely noticeable. Maybe Wales should blackmail us, tell us to give X amount or else the design is permanent.
  4. Woke up at 0700 for a meeting that was rescheduled at 0230 my time.
  5. Phew Wing Commander complete fully. Got the Medal of Valor for not having Maniac die, never knew he was that bonkers - killed me once with friendly fire. Got the good ending, the Firekka drove off the Kilrathi. The last mission was trivial, apparently if one wave runs away the other waves don't show up.
  6. Good bit of AFVs being donated, CV90s from Sweden, Bradleys, Strykers.
  7. And Hunter died off screen. Had to get a save editor and returned him and Spirit to life. Tempted to try to blow up everything in Corsair 3 but I'm shot to pieces and Hunter is useless. Hopefully I don't lose the Firekka series either, thought I was doing well but got the loss, so looping back to do Corsair 3, Halcyon didn't yell at me (punk, I'm one grade below him and he talks to me like that)
  8. Not sure the police here use them, the Toronto ones don't. Surprised we didn't send LAVs or something. I love how OTT the press statements are getting https://nationalpost.com/news/canada-purchasing-200-armoured-personnel-carriers-for-ukraine “This is a war not only for democracy in Ukraine, but also for our own freedom,” Anand told reporters in French during a Wednesday afternoon press conference."
  9. Somewhat funny that these are law enforcement vehicles yet are ok in a warzone
  10. Pft, will do Scheme if I wanted fun
  11. Arestovych resigned for saying they intercepted the missile in Dnipro, heh.
  12. Got my fancy bivalent COVID booster, so dealing with aftermath. Also just as I'm resuming practicing C# I tried hooking the solution up to Git...VS' Git integration resulted in 90% of my files being deleted somehow, so that was also fun
  13. Weird bug in SM2, Spirit just died although she was alive when I was landing. SM2 is fun, I guess I haven't gotten to the real pain as of yet.
  14. Made some kolaches, with ham, cheddar and jalapenos. Came out ok, but not sure it is acceptable for the effort.
  15. They should do well, any tank will not do well if people can take free shots at the sides or rear. I do recall one mythical story of a Challenger resisting 70 RPG-7s in one engagement. Guess the infantry had the day off there.
  16. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-64274755 So Challengers going, guess the Brits want bragging rights.
  17. I've found I have to reload after it eats a post, allow it to restore the post and then make a change of punctuation and then it works.
  18. Hopefully not, can't really see that accomplishing much other than inspiring some Sabaton songs in the future, as opposed to just leaving for another line of defense elsewhere. Disappointed not seeing as many 'pinch of salt' puns about Soledar though, hah..
  19. Robbie Bachman.
  20. Need to fill that timesheet in somehow.
  21. Bold claim. CNN reported later that they're on the edges of the town, sort of funny the soldier quoted said there's no point staying too.
  22. https://edition.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-1-13-23/h_036eee5859c67517f9a4b066faaf144b Soledar may be over for now, for real ?
  23. I would say so, French troops were more experienced than the Russians. In any event, wouldn't say they merely threw bodies at the French. Funnily enough that battle was pitched for some political reasons as well. Worked out well in the end I guess, though.
  24. Yep, over the campaign their A-level units are shredded, I think Ukraine's better off that way (see the TDF meatshields). But VDV is still operating (reminds me when Kamil Galeev was golden for saying what people liked to hear ), at leas and they still have SOF roaming aroundt. But suppose it's not a case of elite or dross. Definitely not the case in Borodino they tried to bury the French with numbers as they were pretty much matched numerically, were defending against an invader and decided to fight them tooth and nail. Not sure if that holds in Kursk. I guess the "Recon Fire Complex" doctrine they have does look a bit ruthless, but it can be effective, even with very weak points.
