  1. Resourceful. Good call. It also says this:
  2. Fable: The Lost Chapters OST
  3. I did a search on the BioWare boards on Electron and Direct X and it showed up with 0 results. Time to do some fine combing.
  4. Welcome Developer Mills.
  5. That's the name of the composers that are doing the music, not the actual music.
  6. It was a knowledgable experience. It was even stated that the low number of devs was because of NWN2 being Polished up. Common knowledge, but still nice to be reassured.
  7. Windows has an OS done well, to be honest. Given all of it's bugs, annoyances, flaws - it's very easy to use.
  8. Meh, I don't really have any ideas so I just randomly chose an NWN2 screenshot and stuck the .png in there. Better than that damned standard XP stuff, though. Well, Mr. Narcissist thinks so.
  9. Had two Ball Park Franks. One with Ketchup, the other with Chilli. Now I'm eating Pringles Loaded Baked Potato chips.
  10. Watching "Drop Dead Gorgeous" with my wife right now while I sit in the NWN2News Dev Chat.
  11. I'll be there. (Am, rather)
  12. Well, it can but the games released are pretty much 'proprietary' to a Windows OS.
  13. PM me your address and I'll send you Ubuntu if you want.
  14. *shrug* Figured it'd be nice to have more interaction with the community than just "The Boards."
  15. That would fall under the bucket of technical factors. Majority of the Linux community dual-boots w/ Windows anyway. Myself included for the time being.
  16. Yes, it can be a shot in the foot. But at what point would an alternative OS user decide to step and say "What about me?!" If everything goes DirectX and is incompatable with porting to another OS the alternative user can't do anything but get shot in the foot and hopefully 'next time' things will be different.
  17. That's the whole point of the huge post at Atari. There's 35 pages of people posting their interest. It's even been cut down for spam and a multi-posting. I'm actually surprised at that. What question I have running through my head is how many posts is it going to need for Atari to say "There's a profit here." I know about middle-men and all that, but if you take $50 and multiply it by the 1000 posts it already has... $50,000. I'm sure there are a bucket of technical factors, but I think you guys can get the point I'm desperately trying to make.
  18. I'd have to agree with you. From a company's view, it isn't a top priority, nor should it be to be honest. I, personally as a Linux user, would like to see that change. Coding for one OS is easier and cheaper and still generates a hell of a lot of money considering the monopoly MS has. If enough people show their support it might become a common thing to see Linux ports. I would very much like to see that. Edit: The dev's are probably looking at this saying "Damn it! He's trying to make more work for me!" "
  19. Probably a few, but I'd like to keep it to 2 or 3. If it becomes a bit popular, perhaps it could be a weekly thing, or even go to a different game and have Obsidian WAN parties.
  20. I was curious if anyone would want to run through DooM 3 and/or Resurrection of Evil in cooperative mode. The only requirements are you own a legal copy, you have one or both patched to 1.3, you have Last Man Standing. I know it's not a favored game but, I work with what I've got. http://lms.d3files.com
  21. That's what I'm running right now. A lot of people are saying games don't run faster on Linux. Some people they do, some they don't I guess. It's kind of hard not to notice a smooth 60 fps in DooM 3 compared to XP's 25-60 choppiness. NWN is a bit random just because of the engine, though.
  22. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the newer UT games DX based? They all have native Linux clients from what I've been reading. Anyway, thank you for the signs. Even just pointing out that people have an interest in mutliplatform support these days is a step forward. I'd like to seen Microsoft at least have a run for their money in PC gaming. I like the XBOX and all, but when it comes to PCs - Meh.
