  1. Sometimes I feel like paying a monthly fee, sometimes I don't. That's why when I play WoW, I cancel my account right after I pay for a month so I don't end up getting charged for another month. Sometimes they charge me anyway, I call, complain, and get a month free. I've other things to control my life besides a video game and the capital it costs to play MMO games. *points to his wedding ring*
  2. They're both fruit, what's the point? Both of them are video games in a related genre. One's 2D. One's 3D. Cell phones, all though have very great uses, are more of an inconvenience to me than anything. After my last one I will never own one again. If someone wants to text message me, send me a link on an IM program or e-mail. If I want to play games, I'll use my computer or a classic console system. Most of the "portable" games are complete crap anyway. I own a GBA and I won't even look for games anymore. I walk into a GameStop and I'm spammed with games for little children with ADD. "Oh, they're a Pokemon Dark Hued Saphire Boarded with Eggshell?! MOM! ZOMG!" Pretty soon you'll start seeing Pokemon #08EFCB.
  3. That cooler is called the "Scythe".
  4. I like the isometric, fantasy, "beat'em up" games. It's kind of like diablo, except that your hand doesn't get tired from clicking. The controls are a lot better. If you're curious and it's only $5, buy it. It's cheaper than renting it in most cases.
  5. Raster fighters! Raster fighters! Capcom VS SNK 2! Woo! Metal Sug! Half-life :-S That went gold and never made it to the stores. There's at least 50,000 copies just sitting in a warehouse somewhere... or that got trashed. Baldur's Gate 2 ... ... CANCELED! WHY? Honestly, if I could have one wish in the world, I think it would be to know why BG2 for the Dreamcast was canceled. Everything I read said "It's canceled." in a very long, uninforming format. Everyone I've asked said "I know nothing of it." *knocks on Obsidian's door @ 4:00 AM* Come guys. I know someone knows somthing. Ok, I'll come back later.
  6. Maybe this means that the Obsidian boys will talk about their games on their own forums now.
  7. Who's the manufacturer? In most cases, if the warranty is out (which it will be after 4 years) you can send it in and they'll sell you a new one at a discounted price. It's worked 6/6 times with some customers of mine. Granted some of them did a little more bitching than others when they were on the phone.
  8. I had this horrible problem with my PS2 (Slim) last night. I was playing Champions of Norrath: Return to Arms with my wife for a few hours and the damn thing didn't auto-save when I pressed the power button. I thought Sony was advanced? Psh... they aren't any more advanced than my sleepiness. My non-gamer wife was pretty pissed at me, too.
  9. You know, the more and more I think about it, the more I want to put off NWN2. Granted I've faith that it'll be a great game but I'm so burned out on NWN.
  10. Robocop vs. The Terminator was one of my favorite games growing up. And yes, the Sega version of it blew the SNES one away.
  11. Wizards & Warriors ...and .... AND ... AND DOOM! ... wait.
  12. I think it'd make sense to spend less money on copyright protection. Thus pissing off less users who have to search for their CD when wanting to play a game. Copy protection is hands down annoying and nothing more. It just means that I have to spend a few more minutes to play the game I want because: A) I have to insert a CD. This get's really annoying. Especially if you don't know what you want to play because you're going through all your installed games. B) I have to search for a CD crack. Generally it's pain free but sometimes can be a real hassle. Especially if the game Auto-updates. ...
  13. The prime of the gaming industry is over, in my opinion. There's way to much concern about pushing a product out the door in time for christmas, too many empty promises (I can think of quite a few developers & publishers who've backed down from what they said and will completely ignore the question of brought up). Enjoy the more than decent games when there are decent games; and stop complaining about crap. Screaming "ZoMG! This crap stinks! Why can't it have corn in it? It'd make it better crap!" doesn't seem that effective.
  14. They're all Stat Based actions/strategy games that try to make you read a lot.
  15. I recently uninstalled "Destroy All Humans" on my PS2 for "Champions of Norrath: Return to Arms".
  16. I've been reading the same about Vista. - Yeah, Ubuntu is quite - effective. I love it.
  17. Forums are up now. I'll need to remake the guild though. Help appreciated. Linux Alliance
  18. I created a character on the Oceanic server called Aman'Thul. I'll change the guild information as soon as the guild is started over there. PC: Uunuuru
  19. Duke Nuke 3D: Atomic Edition - It's bringing back memories.
  20. Just trying to get some more native games on it. I'm sick of using Wine and Cedega. ;-)
  21. http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=06/07/25/1726224 A decent read on the 'vicious circle' of Linux gaming. An acurate statement of how companies won't make games for Linux unless it gets more popular and how people won't use it unless more games are made for it.
  22. Yeah, thinking about switching to an Oceanic server, though. But if I do that I'm starting over from scratch and not paying the $25 transfer fee.
  23. Oh, thought I updated this thread. The guild is created. If any of you use Linux or even just support it in any way, feel free to join.
  24. Nice, thanks. Only 3 more signatures needed.
