complex carbs like outmeal and multi grain will give you energy that releases slowly over time, instead of getting a rush of it all at once, then turning to sugar like most other starchy carbs. Although they do say if one wants to lose weight its best to run first thing in the morning, that way one isn't burning the food one just ate, but fat stored. Do you run long distances or run in fast spurts while walking in between?

Sarkozy said it best I believe. "Obama's Nobel Peace Prize marks 'America's return to the hearts of the people of the world." Most countries did not like bush and Obama is a VAST improvement.

Think this devalues the great men and women who actually deserved their awards? This seems like an award a grampa would give to his soon for most improved, and that this award will just encourage the kid to keep trying I think obama is a nice guy but he hasn't deserved this yet for all i know, which isn't very much!

Your upgrading from a E8400 to a Q9550? Let me know if you see any differences in programs and games. I have a E6600 and I've been thinking of doing the exact same upgrade when Black Friday arrives.

Nvidia's next GPU 'Fermi' will have 3 billion transistors, 40% more than the Radeon 5870. This likely means that it will be that much more expensive But how much girth will it have?

While running there is a lot of impact on the arch, and knees. Everything in moderation. I really recommend circuit training, bike riding, Rowing, Swimming. And situps may become bad for the back after awhile, so how about different styles of crunches?

Can you rest your ankle on a bench while doing pushups normally. You will be at a little bit of a negative incline, but that way they wont be to easy like they would be on your knees. If you dont like that you could always just bench press.

so. so. proof, please. again, some proof. sigh... is it the food, or is it the quantity of food? please be very specific and try to demonstrate an understanding of science when you reply. so what? that means we can grow signficiantly more food in a smaller space, i.e., we are more efficient growing food now than we were in the past. this is a good thing since it also brings costs down, making foods more affordable. i don't know where you get your information but organic foods don't have any provable health benefit. certainly if it was provable we'd have heard about it repeatedly. taks Organic foods that use no chemical fertilzers or pesticides reduce the amount our DNA mutates because these mutations can cause cancers and other side effects. Foods that are high in starches and sugars give us a rush for one minute then a lasting depression because of how fast they break down turn to sugar energy and then to fat if not used. Red Meat takes a very long time to Digest. Seriously man , different food digests differently. Whole grains are complex carbs that break down slowly and give energy for longer periods where simple starchy carbs break down rapidly and give energy and readily available energy faster. Sugar is a cause for diabetes, if we ONLY drink high fructose corn syrup then we have a greater chance of getting diabetes then from the alternative type of sugars like that which comes from fruits. And too much salt can effect ones blood pressure. Studies are being made that are linking hormone induced meats with children that are hitting puberty sooner. Im all for moderation, but the pop culture of US food doesn't have much choice for healthy options, nor do many people have a good awareness. Liberty is a synonym for freedom. It doesn't narrowly mean INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM. What im considering is other peoples welfare, so they have liberty. Freedom from being restrained from a system that makes fatal decisions and denies coverage and yet still costs more then a public option would in the long run. Its also considered liberty to have the right to choose a UHC system. If you want to have a debate just on Liberty though I will go at full length and we can have conversations on Plato, Hobbes,Llocke, Humes whoever you want. Also please tell of your economic philosophy that I am unaware of, unless I am aware of it and disagree that it will effect the way you think it will effect the society. Tak by the way I love you too man. I hope we can grab a cup of tea together someday so i can hear you call me rude names act superior to me. Im sure you would never act like this to another persons face. Tak I think you may have a blood pressure problem due to high salt intake lol -

"Further, UHC promotes unhealthy living habits. Or at least, it makes no difference between the person that doesn't smoke, doesn't drink and keeps track of eating habits and the overweight, heavy-drinking, 2-pack-a-day smoker that goes nowhere without his car. Who is going to pay the bill when that person needs medical attention due to his unhealthy lifestyle? And does the person who makes an effort to be healthy get to pay less taxes? Again, unfairness and dissolution of accountability." A UHC system PROMOTES unhealthy living habits? As the situation stands right now. The UHC system will promote as much of a unhealthy living standard as the current one i believe. People not wanting to go to the hospital to pay high premiums. Please show me where it does in other countries promotes unhealthy living habits. I'd like to point out how a government system may lead to preventative care, which in turn, due to UHC, would make health care costs decrease and at the same time raise our avg life expectancy. In fact the government already has shown a bias against unhealthy living by cigarette taxes, not allowing smoking in bars and other public areas. Not that i'm for these, our against them. Id rather people make conscious decisions. Perhaps as health care is universalized there will be a collective consciousness on how ones actions will cost another. This leading into a debate about such taboo subjects as, getting people off their drugs and off their asses. There is no health awareness in the United States. Every where i drive i see a McDonalds or Burger king. In general most of the food is Filled with salt and sugars, corn syrup, hydrogenated soybean oil or whatever there is. These foods make us depressed, don't digest, and gain weight. Our food is pumped with hormones. The organic section, if one is so lucky to have one in their local market, may just be half an aisle. The information to be health conscious is out there, but it takes discipline to learn and go forward with it. As I said earlier, perhaps healthy people who go to gyms 3-4 times a week, eat organic and live a healthy balanced life should get tax deductions since they perhaps save the government money in the long run. It would also be an incentive for others to go to the gym and find healthier alternatives in eating. -

Asol arguments are, dare I say naive. According to him we shouldn't have a FDA or an EPA either. I could go on and on. We've already went over why the government should or shouldn't step in. In a large sense it depends on ones view of liberty. If you want your own liberty protected so you don't have to help pay. The other side of the argument for UHC is if you want to protect others liberty by aiding in a public option. Its a micro VS macro view. -
Did they fix a lot of major bugs or did they just add the cut content? I know they weren't focusing on perfection.

Yes the United States culture is in a Lockean Rut where property is the main goal in society. And Liberty and freedom are specifically targeted to help acheive property (value). Its self interested philosophy. As for the argument against health care, it is to keep ones own property instead of adding to a national pool. Like Taks, they think of their personal liberty and not the common interest. THey they are thinking of liberty in the micro form. Their own indivudual rights above others individual rights. -
Well, since you don't know how the human physique works, let me give you a run down. You can have the world's most muscular body, but if you're fat, you still won't have a six pack. This girl is very petite, but fit (as in almost no excess fat) so you can see her abs. Not "overly muscular" at all. Is it because you're American that this simple concept eludes you? I go to the gym gym 3 sometimes 4 times a week for circuit training for a full body workout. I personally love to watch the womens body moves when they have definition. Especially women with a "yoga butt" perfectly round like an apple, as sweet im sure! Yea six pack is all about eating right, and gaining muscles, cardio always helps too, but gaining muscle is the best way to loose fat since in the long run it burns more calories just having muscle. Eating complex foods also helps with this. That way it takes longer for foods to digest and it wont go straight to ones gut like starchy foods that turn to sugar and then make one feel a bit tired afterwards. I could go on and on thought. If anyone wants any tips or has any tips to share feel free to share

Correlation does not imply causation is true, but mostly because causation is pretty much impossible to determine. However, the entire scientific method is about observing statistical correlations and implying causation. I just get tired of the mantra on the internet of people stating "correlation does not mean causation" as a defense to anyone that brings in some data. If you wanted to be really skeptical, you could take Hume's approach that determining causation is pretty much impossible Hume wasn't even about disproving the correlation of cause and effect. He was showing how we humans tend to condition ourselves to take for granted the cause of such and such effects. One of the conditions being through repetition we take. His billiard ball idea was very psychological. Yet this just proves that looking at the statistics i agree Alan, all the top countries have drastically more money then the US when universalized. -

Creating a national pool for health care is creating a safety net to not allow bankruptcy, so people do not have to worry about the leading cause of bankruptcy in the United States. The leading cause of Bankruptcy in the US being Health care. Its all about the pursuit of happiness and creating a more perfect union brother. Thus backing universal health care is backing Liberty, for it will help peoples individual right to the pursuit of happiness and to help them create more wealth without the problem of health care we currently have. Im thinking in the macro sense though where you are looking in the micro sense. i understand where your coming from, i just disagree. Thats why we have the vote. -

Tak it seems as though you want to indulge yourself in an unlimited freedom but at the cost of lives. I dont expect you to see the color red if you are blind. A capital centered healthcare business treats people like numbers as you are. It takes an ounce of empathy to perhaps see the need for a public option. It is a moral dilemma if you want to see it that way too of course. I perhaps thought it was a natural instinct to sympathize with the unfortunate, but perhaps you lack the capacity of empathy necessary to put yourself in anothers shoes. But It is also as much a fiscal problem where in the long run we will save money. Less bankruptcies, less deaths, less cost, better living style, better care, more people covered. All this for the price of a few losing their liberty to where a few of their tax dollars (that are already being taken out) go, like they ever had a complete say. -

So when does the goverment need to step in with an option for it to be justified? Or is there never a time for that to happen? The government (we the people) have all tacitly consented to protect each other. These private insurance agencies are trying to make a profit, they are a business. Thus When it comes to insuring a sick citizen they more often then not deny him coverage. If one loses a job and following his insurance, and gets sick and tries to get coverage again he then will get denied many a times. Procedures get denied because of pre existing conditions as silly as acne, thus people have died. A government should step in when fatal decisions like these are actuating in any proportion or place should they not? For its the role of the government to protect its citizens. When I said there needs to be a balance of liberty and equality, there needs to be so that the freedom of others ( to make money) do not trample on the few who don't have as much. But I dont wish that there be such equality where people can't gain in what they do best. Im only looking for a limited amount of social programs like education, roads, police health care etc... Places where it would improve our standard of living if a government option was implemented. There is a time and place for capital, and health care should not be centered on capitol, rather care. Id rather the government, who works by our consent, be working for our health then a man who has no fidelity to me at all who is payed to get money. A public option that is goverment run may finally shift the purpose of making money into actual health care. Where there might be preventive care, and people wont get denied for coverage or procedure. Ill pay my fair share. -
Purk did not mean an insult. Just sharing why i thought it was a good read at the time, since you seemed sarcastic that it was. Love peace chicken grease!
