Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Part 2
bugarup replied to Amentep's topic in Computer and Console
Thanks! Does bombardier have good synergy with the Trickster? Cause it looks like there's no mythic path that's ideal for bombardiers, though I remember reading here it goes well with Lich and I cannot see how exactly, but then I have zero knowledge in Pathfinder tabletop... As for Big Bads, as someone who hated both of them I am v. happy that Owlcat also provided means to give them a colossal middle finger. -
Anime - Magical Girl Anime Thread, hajimarimasu!

Why are you leaving Lann at home when Wrathfinder's clerics are Sosiel and Daeran? Also, you forgot vivisectionist dip. ...anime. Right. So, I played two JRPGs and hated everything but combat and some of worldbuilding. I might play s'more in future though, because it was more "My hate must go on" kind of hate, not "I wish I never experienced this" hate.- 525 replies

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Part 2

Kingmaker introduced new bugs even in definitive edition that came a year or something after launch, and that included what appears to be their trademark, i.e. insane AC of mobs. I'm not sure it is fixed yet, quite a lot of Kingmaker bugs never were, so don't get your hopes up. I'm thinking about waiting for definitive edition this time, because Kingmaker's edition did away with quite a few aggravating annoyances, but then it's unlikely they'll add moar story to the barren end chapters because they didn't in KM, or implement easy one-click-autobuff because 10 minutes long buffing sessions appear to be integral part of Pathfinder experience. So I'll probably wait for some more bugfixin' and perhaps a "Skip Enigma" mod and just keep cheating. I don't think I ever cheated in any game as much as I do in WOTR, but it started first. -
There's an old space turn-based strategy game I remember fondly, "Ascendancy", where the most humanoid race were sort of space T-rexes. There were a few that looked like cells or blobs of mist, there was a swarm and a robot civilization that said "Death to all" as a greeting. Discovering that game was such a pleasant surprise.

We still ridin' the Nineties Nostalgia Express? Then next stop - Britpop

Fable 3. It is a very silly game, but in a good way (Unlike, say, Divinity series that are silly in a bad way). I dunno why, maybe you need authentic British devs to pull that authentic British silly humor (or maybe that's my inner teaboo manifesting). Well anyway, the butler is awesome and I keep zooming in and out of Santuary just to hear him comment on my life and fashion choices

I liked the tone and setting too, but couldn't get farther than I think third or fourth platform and rageuninstalled. I hate platformers SO F--ING MUCH, wish that creators who go for fresh settings would ignore this abysmal genre.

I always thought ME2 was like that Parker-Stone puppet film, you know, "America F†ck yeah!", only serious.

It's nice to see they sneaked more hair styles for liches into that long-ass list. -
Wanted some White Russian, found out I have no coffee liqueur anymore, so made a White Canadian: Milk, double vodka, few drops of actual coffee and maple syrup. Wasn't bad at all!

Yeah, but I also mentioned you do have some flavour choices to say it's personal. Not in every conversation, but with some companions, Eder and perhaps also Tekehu, I think, when making a speech for your crew, at least once in conversation with Eothas himself, might be some more. Spitting in his face might be tricky though, on account of gravity and him being taller than you.

I tried it once! But instantly got lost in crapton or classes, sublasses, what does what yadda yadda, and well, couldn't be arsed to do a research for an ARPG. Is there an overpowered ranged class that can also summon something to stand between them and mobs?

Deadfire. Antagonized a group of Vithracks (Vithraki?) in Forgotten Sanctum I diploed before, got obliterated. Twice. I'll get them next time since now I know what I was doing wrong (and maybe even without swapping Serafen aka Mr Friendly Fire with actual tank), but...I don't think I will be able to do in the Oracle on Veteran.

Hmmmm, I'm pretty certain there were some "It's personal, I want my revenge!" choices scattered here and there? Even in the final conversation you can go "Come at me bro!!!", no? Though I disagree about petty revenge being the most human reaction - unlike in (too) many RPGs, PoE's protag is not quite a power-tripping power fantasy vessel and power disparity between them and actual god is -> ∞ , so flexing at Eothas is like shaking your fist at erupting volcano. And you can always flex at Rymrgand if you want to experience confronting a God...

I'll most likely back their next project again, because hey, party-based isometric cRPG warts and all, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for "Skip the Enigma" mod because I don't think I want to experience it even once, given my almost physical disgust with House at the end of wits. I would've loved to be the fly on the wall in the room those dungeons were designed though. "Hey guys, seems that everybody loathed the House, how could we top it by making something even worse?" -
Love this other band too. I really should digitize all my goth CDs one of these days, sometimes I miss them quite a lot.

Reunion of good ol' 90's. I used to love them for their entire too brief existence.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Part 2

That lady is so obvious I got her deal in Chapter 1 and I'm certain I'm not the only one. Also for me she looks quite a lot like the main character from that Japanese horror film, "Audition" I think? Dunno if coincidence, but I'm getting soul twins vibe. Right, the game. So I got to Chapter 2 and if not for "Auto-win bad HOMM" mod I would have ragequit right then and there. It also appears that, other than being unfun nuisance, bad HOMM serves as bad pacing concealment because without it Chapter 2 sure is short and uneven - a string of teeny tiny short encounters and then that bloated siege that just never ends like some crap game version of "Return of the King". And since consensus about later chapters seems to be "4th is buggy, has a dungeon with infuriating mechanics, 5th is buggy and empty and unfinished, has a dungeon that puts House at the end of fun in shame", I think I'll wait there for QoL edition. Hey, maybe they will even pull a DOS2 and do the extended edition; one can dream, right? -

So there's a mod that replaces the least annoying (IMO) male voice set with Eder voice set. I installed it and now I am playing Deadfire again. Win win if you ask me. . -
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Part 2

Question to the Pathfinder system experts if I may: say I want to tell gods to stuff it and go Legend. What class has best passives to go with the grenadier? Does ranger's favored enemy or slayer's study target benefit bombs any? Or should I just pick bard, open with "tralala" and then bombs as usual? Google tells me nothing. -

Yeaaaah...I remember quite vividly this memorable fighting encounter when Val, Amiri and giant lizard kept missing each other for more than half a hour of real time. Or when some bullsh†t nereid kept spamming endless charm while Val was slowly chipping away her health and party dudes uselessly stood there drooling at blue scaly boobs. Or Wild Hunt copypasta fights through the House at the end of fun...though nope, those weren't that memorable because I hazed my memory with ample amounts of beer to help me through that cowpie of a dungeon. I also remember that time I blew all my camping supplies in the kraken cave in WM so I couldn't rest, but couldn't slink back to town either as I sneaked past by a big nasty group on my way there that I couldn't avoid on the way back, so I had to make do with whatever I could scramble from assorted trash ingredients I had and what do you think, I did beat the big guy. Guess what kind of memories I prefer, eh. Sawyer was right.
