  1. Home language I learned in babby and toddler years as most people probably do. My grandpa's Russian, so basic foundation's from there, then Russian lessons started from second year of primary school + socializing with fellow kids + media exposure + reading a lot + job stuff + Internet so here I am. English lessons started in middle school but were pretty rudimentary and I didn't have a break-through until my early twenties, when I started discovering books I really wanted to read, but there were no available translations. Then Internet and making foreign friends through it, job stuff, books, films. I can also passably read and understand Polish and Belarussian, but can't speak them at all.
  2. Anyone up for a little piece of official russia state propaganda this nice Monday morning, in case if anyone doubts about Bucha being an outlier rather than part of a plan? And if reads like something out of the third reich, it's not your Google Translate's fault. It's just as chilling in russian. https://ria.ru/20220403/ukraina-1781469605.html
  3. My Lich, who did everything in Chapter 5 except Enigma and is now just stalling, romanced Daeran until D's personal Great Old One made us an offer we could not refuse. Later that month pappy Lich demanded we kill our love interest as a part of Bone Supremacy ritual and as we were to go "Um. About that...", he pulled poor Daeran out of afterlife just to kill him again. All in all, I think it was definitely a good romance.
  4. Could've been russian own copters that got lost and confused.
  5. My favourite ABBA song is "Head over heels" and it has a proper, extremely eighties video
  6. Could be that, could be "Tzar is good, tzar just did not know what his boyarins were doing" spin. Kind of hard to believe that human shaped septic tank doesn't know how to google, but then again, it's russia we're talking about.
  7. Russia also said it was not going to attack Ukraine among other things, so I'll believe it when I see it.
  8. It also serves quite a practical purpose - that is, avoiding accountability for your actions by passing blame onto someone else. Because no matter how thick the iron curtain is, people are curious animals and will eventually start asking questions like, "Why aren't we allow to travel abroad to witness oppression of Western proletariat by capitalist pigs themselves", or "Why capitalist pigs-made stuff is of better quality than ours?" or "Why common folk in former Warsaw pact countries and even those useless Baltics seem to live better than us in our resource rich land?" Or the most dangerous of them all, "Why our rulers and their entourage live lives rivalling that of Saudi oil sheikhs when everyone else is poor?" So just blame USA. And gays.
  9. Oh, the rand article itself is a good read, it's just the original article that's bull****. And reuters piece aged real well - "Russia says it has the right to move its troops anywhere it wants on its own territory and is not planning to attack anyone." The reason I'm so dismissive in USA's alleged meddling in russian affairs is that USA used to be the key scapegoat that sovietistan used to blame for, well, anything and everything, and after a brief period of respite russia adapted the same MO almost unmodified.
  10. That "article" is just blatant and unashamed propaganda piece. Azov for illustration, "Kiev coup of 2014", unironic lavrov citations, etc., couldn't be more official russian propaganda if it came from one of their state channels.
  11. I disagree that preference to talk about the war that is going right now and for some people right here rather than war that is over for some time already and annoyance at near constant "But what about Iraq???" derails is double standards at all. Plus it can lead to further derails with things like "I see your Iraq and raise you Chechnya" etc. Anyway, while I'm ready to forever disagree with you on this and some other points such as how Russia is so, so, SO much worse than 'murica in every way possible, like, I don't think the States could be this horrible if they wanted to, I am aiming for your opinion, not your character. I'm sorry if I slipped here and there, this topic is literally close to home, will strive to use less personalized expressions in the future. P.S.: Russia is incomparably more horrible than the States. Always were, still are, possibly will be.
  12. Eh? I wasn't righteously indignated, just moderately curious, not enough to pore through your post history though, and it's definitely not my intention to tell strangers on internet what they should root for. Also, now I'm kind of curious about another thing - this "Where, oh where, is your righteous indignation for brown people dying in previous (and current) conflicts, hmm? ". Like, are you calling the "You have no right to care about issue X because you do not care about issue Y" logical fallacy stupid or are you actually invoking it? I really cannot tell.
  13. Curious how's there is sovietistan in your list, but no russia, when putler pretty openly wants to mold it into new sovietistan. Unless you criticized sovietistan for being, I dunno, not enough of a corrupt, hypocritic, oppressive ****hole built on lies and fear?
  14. You don't even need to mention war now, people have been taken away and fined for holding signs saying "*** *****", "The 5th commandment: thou shalt not kill" and my personal favorite, "Fascism shall not pass", complete with the reason for fine being that, I kid you not, it discredits russian army.
  15. Speaking of Atlantic, I like this piece of theirs: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2022/03/putin-doesnt-realize-how-much-warfare-has-changed/627600/ Makes sense when you remember how great patriotic war was probably the most important part of sovietistan's religion that transitioned to russia wholesale, and how that ugly botoxed midget waxes nostalgic about that era. Girkin is, of course, irredeemable piece of filth who deserves the suicide a la russe, aka falling out of the window as many times as it is necessary for success, but his bluntness, lets say, stands out in Orwellian insanity that seem to have enveloped that forsaken 1/6th of landmass, I give him that.
  16. Watched "Encanto". Cookie cutter Disney as expected, but that "We don't talk about Bruno" thing isn't even an earworm, it's an earwyrm!
  17. He'll give you heads whether romanced or not. Also, somewhen between Chapter 3 and 4 he apparently watched "Se7en" as he started giving heads in boxes.
  18. I guess Kai Leng would fit quite snugly in those animes about hammy fugly dudes with objectionable fashion sense you like to watch. Why good news for Aivu, does devil do anything to it? I've read that the Swarm gets to eat it. . Speaking of which, I can branch off into Swarm on my current Lich, but don't know if I want to, doubt there's anything interesting storywise happening in two shortest chapters, plus no plump juicy dragon to dine on.
  19. Dude! I just ate! That is, Kai Leng is worst of the worst. Even being killable does not redeem him any. In other news, just had a big ass cut scene where I was once again exposed to Nocticula's smug mug. Aaaaand will have to repeat it, because I forgot to take away leaving companion's gear. Just lovely.
  20. I probably will find a way to kill her mechanically one way or another, what I meant was if I'm going to be allowed. Because with Lich it was all like Shepard vs Aria in Mass Effect 2, where there wasn't even a dialogue option to express how unimpressed I was with that stupid GMNPC, let alone to smack her.
  21. Chapter 5, fighting Chapter 4's trash mobs in the streets. Lich got attribute damage perk. Payback time, bitches!
