Youtube keeps offering me nice things outside of my usual listening range. Here's the case of cover being better than original.

So putler yakked the other day that there was a conspiracy to snuff Solovjov, Kremlin's propaganda tool numero uno. Neo-nazi, Ukrainian passports, yadda yadda, you know the drill. (Source: https://meduza.io/feature/2022/04/25/fsb-ob-yavila-o-zaderzhanii-neonatsistov-kotorye-yakoby-planirovali-po-zakazu-sbu-ubit-vladimira-solovieva-i-drugih-propagandistov) Aaaaand here be the picture of "evidence". While it looks too silly to be anything but a fake, it matches shots from the video of arrest up there. Mean people are already making jokes about how the assassination plan was to lure Solovjov into the pool and take out the ladder and it seems like a sort of postmodern self-mockery until you remember that russian state TV also presented a tome of Shakespeare as an evidence or "Anglo-Saxon mercenaries in Ukraine"... (There is also a photo of some sort of incriminating postcard that is signed with, I kid you not, "Undecipherable signature").

If I'm mistaken, Xzar can correct me, but I think that with "1) The ship Moskva sunk because there was a fire on board. 2) Retaliatory attacks on Ukraine are needed because the ship Moskva sunk." he wasn't referring to (possibly) retaliatory attacks, but Russia's news channels in unison stating how Moskva sunk because of fire on board (as if ship sinking out of incompetence is somehow a better spin than it being sank by the enemy...), and at the same time, on the same TV channels their propaganda dogs howling for Ukrainian blood because "revenge for Moskva!" Oh, and those of you who read about that guy from Novatek who "killed his wife and daughter before killing himself" in Moscow, may experience deja vu today as you read about the guy from Novatek who "killed his wife and daughter before killing himself", but those are different guys from Novatek. https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-novatek-manager-protosenya-dead/31814581.html

Out of Xzar's list, only "2) Russia also clears essentially all of its western front in order to attack Ukraine, because it knows perfectly well that NATO has no intention to attack it, ever." may be interpreted as a speculation. Everything else can be fact-checked. Unless, of course, we speculate that Russia is so mired in lies that absolutely nothing their officials and propaganda mouthpieces say can be taken at face value....what would still prove Xzar's point, but in a roundabout way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 4
bugarup replied to Vaeliorin's topic in Computer and Console
Finished with the Lich. Chapter 6 was short, boring and anticlimactic. Not sure if I ever finish with another character just for different set of ending slides because I wasn't invested in either world or characters that much. Oh, and when I finally braced myself for Enigma and stuffed masks into appropriate statues, then...nothing happened. I briefly thought about googling the issue or talking to Nenio, but then I thought...nah. I also got my Legend guy to Chapter 5 (Chapter 4 is nice and short if you just toybox-teleport everywhere!). Legend looks quite bonkers powerful, but eh, this late in game everyone is. -
I've read it in multiple sources of assorted dubiousness and never questioned it because it's how Russia always operated. Banana for scale - here's a credible (there is existing case) source about corruption in warship service business, where the dude embezzled over 692 million roubles out of 1 billion, i.e. 69%: https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/5271652 And it's just a mundane, one-of-many sort of a case, not even scandalous like that high ranking law enforcement officer who had to rent an apartment just to store all his bribe money.

Song's kinda meh, but video looks like they had grand time filming it

Meanwhile, the blight pulled its mobile crematoriums into Mariupol: https://meduza.io/news/2022/04/06/gorsovet-mariupolya-zayavil-chto-v-gorode-nachali-rabotat-rossiyskie-mobilnye-krematorii I'm sure it has nothing to do with trying to cover war crimes after Bucha. Which did not happen, and if it did, it was also staged, also Ukrainians did it, also they were all Nazis and deserved it. Here's hoping the blight is as competent in covering its crimes as it is at everything else.

Home language I learned in babby and toddler years as most people probably do. My grandpa's Russian, so basic foundation's from there, then Russian lessons started from second year of primary school + socializing with fellow kids + media exposure + reading a lot + job stuff + Internet so here I am. English lessons started in middle school but were pretty rudimentary and I didn't have a break-through until my early twenties, when I started discovering books I really wanted to read, but there were no available translations. Then Internet and making foreign friends through it, job stuff, books, films. I can also passably read and understand Polish and Belarussian, but can't speak them at all.

Anyone up for a little piece of official russia state propaganda this nice Monday morning, in case if anyone doubts about Bucha being an outlier rather than part of a plan? And if reads like something out of the third reich, it's not your Google Translate's fault. It's just as chilling in russian. https://ria.ru/20220403/ukraina-1781469605.html

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 4

My Lich, who did everything in Chapter 5 except Enigma and is now just stalling, romanced Daeran until D's personal Great Old One made us an offer we could not refuse. Later that month pappy Lich demanded we kill our love interest as a part of Bone Supremacy ritual and as we were to go "Um. About that...", he pulled poor Daeran out of afterlife just to kill him again. All in all, I think it was definitely a good romance. -
My favourite ABBA song is "Head over heels" and it has a proper, extremely eighties video

Ukraine Conflict - Das Himmelfahrtskommando

Could be that, could be "Tzar is good, tzar just did not know what his boyarins were doing" spin. Kind of hard to believe that human shaped septic tank doesn't know how to google, but then again, it's russia we're talking about. -

Russia also said it was not going to attack Ukraine among other things, so I'll believe it when I see it. -

It also serves quite a practical purpose - that is, avoiding accountability for your actions by passing blame onto someone else. Because no matter how thick the iron curtain is, people are curious animals and will eventually start asking questions like, "Why aren't we allow to travel abroad to witness oppression of Western proletariat by capitalist pigs themselves", or "Why capitalist pigs-made stuff is of better quality than ours?" or "Why common folk in former Warsaw pact countries and even those useless Baltics seem to live better than us in our resource rich land?" Or the most dangerous of them all, "Why our rulers and their entourage live lives rivalling that of Saudi oil sheikhs when everyone else is poor?" So just blame USA. And gays. -

Oh, the rand article itself is a good read, it's just the original article that's bull****. And reuters piece aged real well - "Russia says it has the right to move its troops anywhere it wants on its own territory and is not planning to attack anyone." The reason I'm so dismissive in USA's alleged meddling in russian affairs is that USA used to be the key scapegoat that sovietistan used to blame for, well, anything and everything, and after a brief period of respite russia adapted the same MO almost unmodified.
