I hope they write a bunch of new in-game books, always loved reading those. The book store in Vivec comes to mind. Also: regarding dungeons I hope they in at least some small ways do the obsidian method (associate quests/small storyline with said dungeon).

Has this new engine ever been exactly defined? i.e. Is it a brand new engine built from the ground up (no assets from gamebryo used)? Or is it a just another reworked version of gamebryo and they're trying to market it as new?

After the disappointment that TES IV was to me; my expectations of V are low (and obviously can't justify buying a copy full priced or at all). Just have to see what the PR hype machine can cook.
