These families are probably already involved with Child Protective Services, or whatever it's called in the UK, so I don't see what the big deal is. The government has an obligation to protect children from bad parents. If adults want to mess up their own lives, that's a different story.

There's about a $10 difference due to the license fee. But I also noticed PC games generally tend to be discounted quicker and deeper than console games, may be due to price pressure from piracy, not sure.

I think the quad core recommendation is Intel marketing. I distinctly remember a developer on the DAO forum saying recently there's no significant improvement beyond 2 cores. Plus you can always run on low settings.

That was just poor combat balancing/design, although it would've been OK for lower difficulty settings.

That's true of most modern main stream games, you just don't see many games crafted with love, or made because someone really wanted to make them, instead of just trying to cash in.

I thought Shivering Isles overrelied on repetitive dungeons even more than the OC. I enjoyed exploring the open world in Oblivion and a lot of the quests were pretty fun. I don't get what people hate so much about the main story, it's no worse than most RPG's. Also Knights of the Nine is a bit better quality than most other Oblivion content. Edit: Here are the sidequests from Oblivion I posted a while back, I marked the ones I can remember being good with *, these don't include the main story or the guild quests (from here http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/file/927345/46026).

You're thinking of the robots in terms of a deterministic computer. I think Asimov's idea was that in order to be self-aware they'd have to be based on chaos theory or something like that.

Isn't that China's fault for not allowing free access to the press? Isn't if fair to be biased against someone who tries to conceal information? Also trying to take sides in ethnic riots doesn't make much sense to me, both sides are bound to do some horrific things. It's pretty clear though that the Uighurs are an oppressed minority in China, and China tries to settle ethnic Chinese in their areas to gain greater control. This is also how it worked with ethnic Russians in the Soviet Union.

I've been crashing both Vista and W7 with Mysteries of Westgate, MoW also seems to be corrupting Vista, but not W7 yet as far as I can tell. I just installed new ATI Catalyst drivers on W7, so I'll see if that helps. Empire: TW has also been constantly crashing on Vista, but I'm not going to try it on W7 until I finish MoW, I don't need any more problems right now.

Those elements worked well in KOTOR, because it's obviously fantasy anyway. They really were incongruous in ME, which tried for a more realistic feel but couldn't make up its mind.
