  1. It isn't a question at all. The kefaya movement, so far as I can make out, is a reaction without any political point, and there's no obvious successor to Mubarak. The Brotherhood have an open goal, and all they have to do is make moderate noises and wait. I was trying to be optimistic. Also I agree with Zoraptor a lot of it is up to the army, but the army would have to somehow come up with a credible alternative or up the repression to eleven.
  2. We want it all and we want it now!
  3. Someone may have done some estimates, but I never believed it. Actually we don't know what NV sales were, there's only the 5 million shipped announcement, I haven't seen anything else official.
  4. Mubarak may have left the building already. An announcement coming soon (from my last link)
  5. Might finally see some movement on this: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0111/48300.html They better do something soon, the Titanic is heading for the iceberg.
  6. But Tunisian opposition seems to be mostly secular. If that article is correct that MB is the most popular party in Egypt, and that does agree with what I read earlier, then the situation in Egypt would be entirely different. Al Qaeda sprung from MB ideology, in fact they're the two complementary approaches to the same goal, and Egypt under MB will make Iran look like the paragon of democracy and liberalism. Edit: Sounds really bad: http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/egypt-whats-happening-now/
  7. Yeah, I missed that part. Why is he talking about pirates then?
  8. Same here. I'm hoping they'll get a real democracy, but things could go very wrong very fast. Edit: Once again we're caught between a rock and a hard place: http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/0859920449020...XNsYW1pc3RmZWFy What a joke, if there's anything MB is against it's democracy, at least as soon as they're put in power.
  9. Developer advises to work with pirates: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/01/28...ds-phil-stuart/ I find this incredibly annoying. Because I'm honest, I'm expected to buy the game and support all the thieving pirates. Come to think of it, that's how the government works too. Well, you know what, there's no way in hell I'd buy your game, and if I want it that bad, I'd pirate it myself, so go screw yourself.
  10. The dog will run off and get itself killed. If you have to reload every time it would get really annoying.
  11. Looks like they used some book, The Legend of the Jedis, not sure if that's what it's called in English, as a source. In which case the book had to be come out after KOTOR 2, so if the timeline is incorrect, the error is in the book, not the game. Of course Brianna isn't officially 25 as far as I know, so really there's no error at all. Edit: Actually, it looks like there were some KOTOR novels they used as reference as well. But the same applies, the Kreia stuff in the novels would have to be written after the game came out.
  12. Where is this info coming from? In an interview a couple of years ago, Chris wouldn't even admit Brianna was Kreia's daughter.
  13. I did, it was great.
  14. I don't really consider that a horror game, more of an adventure game or adventure/horror. By horror games I mean mostly survival horror, or in other words games that mainly try to gross you out. CoC is no worse than the Cradle or the zombie level in Half-Life 2. And really I didn't find it either particularly scary or creepy, it got the whole mystery/horror atmosphere just about perfect though.
  15. I never play "horror" games, but ironically some of my favorite games/levels have horror elements in them, like the Cradle in Thief: DS.
  16. If Mubarak were to fall, the big question is would it open the way for the Muslim Brotherhood to take over.
  17. Genghis Khan, history's greenest conqueror: http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/climate-w...enest-conqueror
  18. Ok, but he's still better than "Im-a-hero-and-Im-only-standing-here-to-do-quest" type of main character in Fallout. Only way to actually make an opinion was in speech challanges and in a quests, where you have to decide who you'll be supporting - but not in all. You're just asking about Mojave, fractions and quests. In AP you can be sarcastic, you can joke, you can insult other NPCs and you can choose your personality. :') No harm to Fallout New Vegas, it's a different type of RPG, I'm just saying that I prefer Alpha Protocol. :') You probably just prefer a third person voiced PC. Which is the way to go if you want to give PC an identity separate from the player. Edit: Speaking of characters, the old crazy guy in NV was even better than Hecht in AP, so I think you could come up with equal quality counterparts in both games, although AP character tended to be more over the top, and also there were fewer of them, so some got more attention.
  19. Most publishers push developers around because they can. Obsidian must've been treated better than most since at least they're still around. Edit: Here's what Sawyer had to say about developer/publisher relationship: http://www.gamebanshee.com/news/100982-je-...-continued.html
  20. That was super annoying too.
  21. Separate grenade button should've been in the game and in every shooter with grenades, I wound up not using grenades because I don't like to fumble with weapons in the middle of a fight.
  22. Success in business is almost entirely based on the exploitation of the stupid.
  23. Sort of related : http://www.newsweek.com/2011/01/16/richard...ly-mission.html An interesting article about Richard Holbrooke and US Afghanistan/Pakistan policy
  24. Are you kidding? I'm all over mammoth burgers. I am kidding, it's a Jurassic Park reference.
  25. That screenshot certainly looks impressive, in the art design sense as well. Edit: As far as AI, I think this explains it It'll be nice if NPC's react when I jump on their table and start stepping into the food.
