  1. I could do without the Todd McFarlane art style, the rest of it is worth keeping an eye on though.
  2. AFAIK EA puts an embargo on all their titles, major or not. I have no doubt DAII will have, at the very least, solid reviews. Most previews/impressions of the demo, for example, were rather gushing in tone. Apparently they do it for a lot of games, but Dead Space 2 for example didn't have an embargo until release day. Another example of dishonest behavior by EA IMO. It's sickening how the gaming "press" and the publishers collaborate to mislead the consumer, I haven't seen the mention of the embargo on a single gaming site. Edit: Previews are normally a lot more gushing than the reviews, that's another example of the collaboration.
  3. It just occurred to me that it's weird I haven't seen any US reviews yet when the game's out tomorrow.
  4. Mass Effect 3 concept art: http://www.gamebanshee.com/games/mass-effe...html?tab=images
  5. May be you keep surrendering every time a fire fight starts.
  6. I'm playing an NWN2 mod called The Maimed God Saga. Really like it so far, does a great job of making you feel like a cleric of Tyr instead of the usual generic character.
  7. Nothing's sacred if you can make money off it. You can always ignore the sequel of course.
  8. I really don't see Britain acting without the US, and our military has been pouring cold water on the idea.
  9. That totally sucked. Actually the reversed controls were the only hard (as in incredibly annoying) part as I recall.
  10. It's true, military forces are being moved and there's talk of a no-fly zone: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110301/wl_nm/...3dhcm5zb2ZsaWI-
  11. You realize it's a parody, don't you?
  12. I'm trying not to get my hopes up as I don't want them to be crushed.
  13. Did they ever fix them?
  14. Speaking of Iraq: http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20110224/wl_t...sfullworldyahoo I didn't realize Britain was tyranical, but whatever. Come to think of it, none of those were tyrannies.
  15. Four Oddworld games this year : http://www.vg247.com/2011/02/24/just-add-w...tles-this-year/ Would be wonderful if true.
  16. Tried it late yesterday and got demolished in 10 minutes in the historical battle, but I wasn't paying attention. Play looks too fast, hope there's a way to slow down time. First impression is it's more involving than ETW, but have to play a bit more.
  17. That is truly hilarious. Bioware is now like a parody of itself.
  18. Sometimes you're just incredibly naive and/or biased. The simple and obvious explanation is massive amounts of brute force. You will notice it's the most totalitarian and anti-Western regimes that are proving the most stable.
  19. Nah, a knight would kick his ass. Samurai are pretty cool though.
  20. I think I'll have time to try it out Thursday. I'm vainly hoping their tactics will go back to the level of MTW1.
  21. Does anyone care to comment on the quality of plot development later in the demo? I mean the stuff with Isabella.
  22. Well, you could always go for an all-gurkha army.
  23. Having a supply of paper money that expands at the same rate as the economy is a reasonable idea and should work perfectly well in theory. The problem is for some reason the Fed thinks they're a Soviet five year economic planning commissariat.
  24. I hate to say it, but I don't see much hope for Iran, the government is too determined and brutal. May be if there's dissension in the ruling class.
  25. Are you kidding? I'm shocked they can show most of the stuff they show on it. That's the impression I had, but I wasn't sure I was thinking about the right show. Not for me then, but thanks.
