I guess so - saying that this is Marxism is a clear indication that you haven't understood the idea. What you described in your original post is communism, show where I'm wrong.

Mubarak will probably announce he's not running for re-election in September: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0211/48613.html Apparently CNN is also reporting that. Probably the best that can be done at this point.

I said Islamists and democracy can't coexists, there's a difference. Islamists however do use the rhetoric of democracy so long as it helps them come to power. A couple of quotes from Enoch's link:

They're not an enemy of Al Qaeda, any statements to that effect is part of their deception. And why would the Iranian government hate us for supporting a repressive ruler when they themselves are 10 times as repressive? It was Khomeini himself who said "Let Iran burn so long as Islam triumphs!" Btw, some people were trying to prove that Khomeini was moderate in the same terms as you before he took power. Also I just had a thread a couple months ago where the leader of Egyptian MB declared Jihad against the US. I have to think that you're just not well informed about fundamentalist Islam and their ultimate goals.

Really, you mean like the Iranians or Hizbollah that just took over Lebanon? First, "tend to" Second, it's tough to make that kind of comparison without getting into "what if" scenarios. Just how dangerous and violent would the Iranian mullahs and Hezbollah be as underground organizations? And how different would whatever other government in those countries be if these groups didn't have the influence that they do? (For example, I'd argue that current Iranian government is, in effect, a pretty secular oligarchy with islamist window-dressing-- the Revolutionary Guard actually runs the country, and gets the official stamp of approval from the clerics whenever they need it. Remove the islamist elements, and not much changes.) My core point is that I think the risks of Egypt going hardcore-islamist are distant, easily overwhelmed by the overall benefits of democratic reform. Iranian government is the most dangerous in the world (well China is a lot more powerful so I suppose that's arguable) and it is because of their Islamist ideology. It is far from secular. Also there is no such thing as an islamist democracy, islamism is anti-democratic at its core. After reading various sources the last few days, there's virtually no doubt the MB will a major part of any coalition government. The only question that remains is how much and for how long the army and the other factions will be willing and able to restrain them.

To each according to his need, from each according to his ability. I guess people never learn.

Does NV support a pad on the PC?

Steam sales are probably world-wide, while NPD sales are US only. Additionally Steam sales are estimates, since Steam doesn't release sales numbers.

The chief sponsor of Hamas is who it always has been- radical Sunni Gulf States. Hamas gets a lot of their weapons off Iran but their other stuff- social programs/ education/ wages etc- is still overwhelmingly funded by countries that are theoretically US allies. In the end Iran and Hamas are allies for precisely as long as they are useful to each other and for precisely as long as they have a common enemy. The MB or similar having power in Egypt would almost instantly make Iran superfluous to Hamas as they could then simply get arms off them. The Iran-Hizbollah-Hamas-MB axis is there so long as their mutual enemy, US, is in the Middle East. Sure they'd turn on each other eventually, but that's a ways off.

Exactly. Take it a step further though, the ultimate goal is Saudi Arabia.

Depends on whether you prefer the gamepad or the keyboard controls more than anything.

It isn't a question at all. The kefaya movement, so far as I can make out, is a reaction without any political point, and there's no obvious successor to Mubarak. The Brotherhood have an open goal, and all they have to do is make moderate noises and wait. I was trying to be optimistic. Also I agree with Zoraptor a lot of it is up to the army, but the army would have to somehow come up with a credible alternative or up the repression to eleven.

We want it all and we want it now!

Someone may have done some estimates, but I never believed it. Actually we don't know what NV sales were, there's only the 5 million shipped announcement, I haven't seen anything else official.

Mubarak may have left the building already. An announcement coming soon (from my last link)

Might finally see some movement on this: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0111/48300.html They better do something soon, the Titanic is heading for the iceberg.

But Tunisian opposition seems to be mostly secular. If that article is correct that MB is the most popular party in Egypt, and that does agree with what I read earlier, then the situation in Egypt would be entirely different. Al Qaeda sprung from MB ideology, in fact they're the two complementary approaches to the same goal, and Egypt under MB will make Iran look like the paragon of democracy and liberalism. Edit: Sounds really bad: http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/egypt-whats-happening-now/

Yeah, I missed that part. Why is he talking about pirates then?

Same here. I'm hoping they'll get a real democracy, but things could go very wrong very fast. Edit: Once again we're caught between a rock and a hard place: http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/0859920449020...XNsYW1pc3RmZWFy What a joke, if there's anything MB is against it's democracy, at least as soon as they're put in power.

Developer advises to work with pirates: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/01/28...ds-phil-stuart/ I find this incredibly annoying. Because I'm honest, I'm expected to buy the game and support all the thieving pirates. Come to think of it, that's how the government works too. Well, you know what, there's no way in hell I'd buy your game, and if I want it that bad, I'd pirate it myself, so go screw yourself.

The dog will run off and get itself killed. If you have to reload every time it would get really annoying.

Age of the Characters
Wrath of Dagon replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Looks like they used some book, The Legend of the Jedis, not sure if that's what it's called in English, as a source. In which case the book had to be come out after KOTOR 2, so if the timeline is incorrect, the error is in the book, not the game. Of course Brianna isn't officially 25 as far as I know, so really there's no error at all. Edit: Actually, it looks like there were some KOTOR novels they used as reference as well. But the same applies, the Kreia stuff in the novels would have to be written after the game came out. -

Where is this info coming from? In an interview a couple of years ago, Chris wouldn't even admit Brianna was Kreia's daughter.
