  1. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0967067X11000493 Hahaha "Worrisome".
  2. How about an RPG where you can be all sorts of alignments and funnel your own narrative? Good, Bad, and Ugly. To me that's a perfect RPG protagonist, not constant Clint Eastwood larping.
  3. Good. Glad to see developers are in conjunction with many players who are getting tired of sequel after sequel with the same characters.
  4. It's why I left Facebook all those years ago, my wall was filled with garbage like that, even among the snobs in my own family.
  5. E3 is still a thing? But hopefully we'll get some news on Avowed and Elden Ring, in any case. If not, then it's losing it's artificial prestige even faster.
  6. https://www.msnbc.com/stephanie-ruhle/watch/ice-cream-parlor-raises-minimum-wage-to-15-hr-flooded-with-job-applications-112471621755 See? it's magic. Actually give people decent wages and business will boom, applications will flood in, and prices won't go up.
  7. Yeah that's probably my end game, to turn into a filthy capitalist and climb the ranks at some modest chain. Better to be a big fish in a small pond then the other way around. I've had a decent paying, decent benefits blue collar job for several years but I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere so I quit. EDIT: That, or a porn star, lots of former Communists either turn into capitalists or become porn stars.
  8. I just find it HILARIOUS that the east and west kinda switched roles from the 20th century. I mean compare 1950's America to 1950's Soviet and CCP. The former was patriarchal, blacks were living in apartheid, family units were the meat of society, racism and sexism was rampant. The latter fought for womens rights, minority rights, more income equality, and a more just and fair society (albeit harshly and ineffectually but still). Quite the turnaround honestly.
  9. Resident Evil Village Despite the roughish start, overall an extremely good game, and very highly recommended. I accused it of being linear at first but as the game progresses it very much opens up. Good to be proven wrong! Tons of crafting, weapons, weapon upgrades, mines, pipe bombs, and hidden items you can find and sell. One of the best RE games bar none, blows 7 out of the water (this game could be considered RE7 pt 2 tbh). EDIT: I should add a footnote that I'm playing on a 3090 with RTX enabled so that may affect my score a bit, as it looks absolutely stunning maxed out but it does knock the frame rates down significantly. It hovers around 70 fps usually but in some instances it does dip to quite low, so you'll need a beefy card if you want the most of it.
  10. Yeah all mainstream Amero-centric media these days doesn't even attempt at accurate reporting anymore, it's like they're targeting the trashiest sectors of society (which is, admittedly, quite a lot!) because it suits their $Agenda$.
  11. Oh? like right wing chauvinistic militarism that you have constantly advocated for? I agree with the argument but your premise of it is probably not in the Green.
  12. Whelp, since 1992 the U.S. decided to make every problem in the world "our problem" so all entangled roads lead to the U.S. It will continue unless the U.S. starts taking steps to gradually withdraw from it. Still not sure as to why the American people didn't protest against imperialism way back when, as I don't think the Founders had that in mind when creating this county...
  13. Biden Balks on Russia (msn.com) LOL MSM doesn't even try to hide their bias anymore. Nord Stream 2 can and will actually HELP the populations involved but since it's Russian backed the U.S. 1950's minded establishment dinosaurs are O.K. with going all the way to sabotage it. I support Biden's decision to allow organic trade networks to bear fruit, regardless of whether or not we like their government.
  14. Just bought a 500 watt electric dust blower to periodically clean out the innards, wont arrive for a month though. I hope it works as I'm imagining it working. Also, my 1440p/144hz monitor looks like it's starting to **** the bed, as it keeps flickering on and off. I guess it's time to upgrade to 4k?
  15. Yeah I scaled back on the difficulty for my first run and looked up some survival tricks and I got it. These damn werewolves are hard to kill. The issue I'm having with this game so far is just that some sequences of this game has a "method" that you have to follow to complete and you can actually waste a ton of expensive ammunition because you're not following the script. That always kind of bugged me. Also the game is a bit linear but honestly that's expected in todays AAA climate. High focus on visuals, low focus on intricacy. Call me morbid but I find the female villains in this game hot as Hell, not the granny but the younger ones. xD
  16. Resident Evil Village. Ok, I did put it on hardcore mode because I consider myself an RE vet. ...and I keep getting my ass kicked...at the very first part of the game. Either there's a trick I'm missing or there's somewhere I need to go that I can't seem to find but I'm getting swamped by werewolf zombies and there doesn't seem to be any end to them. Gosh.
  17. Eh, Russia has no real power besides nukes so it thinks it can charm its way into the world stage. But honestly I don't really give a **** anymore, Eastern media used to be receptive to the authoritarian left but now it's all just alt right garbage. They don't even seem to hold back anymore, right wing authoritarianism is the de facto ideology of the East.
  18. I will add my voice to the choir of NO PC VOICE ACTING. Why? Because it ruins the players internal monologue when progressing and kinda kills the atmosphere. Now that I think about, this is true for most RPG's with voiced player characters.
  19. Which reinforces the notion that a strong China can actually help American workers and tech companies because it's forcing domestic production and innovation to stay competitive. But the issue with that is that the American government does not tolerate peer competitors and doesn't seem to hesitate to use military force to stop any potential rivalry, which is strange for a country that claims to worship the theory free market competition.
  20. Every build has to have that one kryptonite 'Tis why having a backup build with "Signs" and "Alchemy" and "Griffin" gear (huge "Yrden" bonuses) is smart. This was my first build.
  21. Basically this. Though let's alter it a bit and say that it's more like creating illusory facts and excuses on not wearing one so it fits their tribal narrative, rather than plain "government overreach". I mean if they truly were against government they wouldn't even run for office, join the military, police, and fire departments so we're not that lucky.
  22. Covid-19, inflation, extreme military spending/threat of WW3, rising rent prices, political violence/shootings kinda makes up for the apparent gains though 3rd Party dammit! The Don is gone.
