I think upbringing and impounded prejudices can be a stronger force than "discipline" sometimes. Those can be extremely tough to dislodge. Look at it like this, after military everyone happily goes right back to their families and "falls back in line" to civilian life. So yeah, home life is pretty potent.

Yes, my pants would explode if Bloodborne came to PC.

What Are you Playing Now: Living the Good Life

Yeah he's way off, their studio is in Essen, Germany, which is quite far westward part of Germany. If their studio was in East Germany he may have been half right. -
It's the people who the laws trigger what matters here! White socially reactionary beta males who constantly praise Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump, and like to lie and say Nazi's were socialists.
-
Diehard Trumpers still see the pandemic and mask wearing as BS. The soft, socially conservative authoritarianism of the Trump camp is confusing as all Hell, and nothing it about it is makes sense. It just sounds like some sort of bizzare Reagan inspired antithesis to how actual authoritarian governments handled the pandemic, and that is, quite well! As much as we may dislike China, they definitely handled it better than Trump did; temporary sacrifice of freedoms to contain the virus and then back to normal.

Huh, maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much. New Vegas I replayed multiple times times but it was kinda rough around the edges, and seemed broken in some instances, the the whole powder gangers scenario, it reeked of obvious and poorly implemented content removal. Borderlands is the opposite, it's got a great plot and gameplay, very "smooth" around the edges and the skills are shallow and complimentary rather than fundamental, which is expected in a shooter but still, I prefer a bit more. Hopefully Avowed will raise the bar even higher. Anywho, I am trying to get all the achievements in RE Village, I have 34/49 so I got a little ways to go, working on beating it on the highest difficulty, which is doable as your weapons and upgrades carry over after you save your last playthrough, I can't iimagine beating it with starting equipment but there's Youtubers doing it! -
Huh, I'll freely admit that I'm not a fan of turn based anything but this does look interesting.

Seems like it could attract a niche fanbase. The problem I have with Steam reviews is a lot of them are like diametrically opposite of my opinion. "The game starts out great but gets more dull as you progress" -or vice versa- is one I see a lot when my opinion is the exact opposite.

That seems to be a popular opinion but I don't remember anything being great about it, I actually remember thinking at the time that it tried too hard to be dark and grim, and didn't really leave a lasting impression. Maybe it's because when I think of an assassins guild I think of contracts and some degree choices and open endedness rather than an on the rails questline so that could have affected my opinion a little bit. As soon as I beat the main quest I tossed it in the trash (metaphorically). -

Yeah Troksky is still reviled in Russia. I've read some of his works, and he does seem more intelligent and pragmatic than Stalin, but history decided he wasn't worthy so Stalinist policies of rapid industrialization and collectivism won the argument. His grandson is also pretty legit, his stance is that Marxism remains the #1 tool for gauging history but he hopes that something better comes along, as he routinely criticized the Iraq invasion and American imperialism in general. 3 cheers for Trotsky! -
That is a very touchy subject, even internally the Taiwanese are split on the issue, as they have strong cultural ties to the mainland, unlike Japan which has always been independent from the Middle Kingdom. Also, speaking of touchy subjects... https://www.mediaite.com/online/jackie-chan-says-america-is-the-most-corrupt-country-in-the-world/ Jackie Chan, really? Edit: Whoops, that article is quite old, but definitely new to me! I never took Chan for a conservative China firster.

Buying Morrowind Game of the Year edition all those years ago was one of those very rare cases where I was just excited buying it as I was playing it. Then Oblivion came out -

Maybe, but I have a mind that a lot of those Tsarist era generals would have become German generals at the drop of a pin, given the opportunity. But I guess there's no way to determine that, right? -

Right, and soldiers as well. Stalin's handling of industrial relocation is what saved them ultimately, along with massive amounts of reserves. I mean Germany had a population of 50+ million and Russia 170 million, what the Hell were they thinking rite. On topic: https://asiatimes.com/2021/05/us-researchers-take-stealth-tech-to-a-new-level/ Your move, Easterners. -
Incorrect for the most part. All of this started when the west decided it was a good idea to try to incorporate Ukraine into NATO (and probably the EU), which would nullify Ukraine as (largely) neutral buffer state and would have pitted NATO right on Russia's door step. How would Americans react if Russia decided to plant missles into Mexico and made them a puppet state? Catch my drift? Sometimes you have to consider what you yourself would do in a similar situation.

Well see the thing is Merkel wasn't as rabidly Russophobic as the U.S. and British governments were. I mean yeah she was no friend of Russia by any stretch but she always seemed to leave one channel open, especially in regards to Nord Stream 2. If Baerbock wins then expect Germany/EU to be as Russophobic as the U.S. but with much farther left wing politics, even by Euro standards! She does seem a bit young though, at the end of the day I wouldn't be surprised if they just went with Sholz. We will see.

It did lack radio communication though, which most German tank crews had. -
This could be the next German chancellor, she's the current front runner. Green Party, fiercely opposes Nord Stream 2 for environmental and Russophobic reasons, late stage Gen-Xer, and pretty hot. If she wins expect Germany to be firmly in the Western camp if any conflict breaks out between major powers. IF not directly than extremely indirectly.

Yeah that's true, I remember that era quite well, though it was more like 20 something odd years ago. Every other show was titled something like "Hitler the Bad Guy" but the subject matter was chock full of his speeches and quotes, like some kind of strange obsession. -
Comedy doesn't exist in 2021.
