What Are you Playing Now: Living the Good Life

I bet it doesn't topple HZD tho. -
The reviewer is wrong here. It's people who suck at math who like these kind of games. Mathematicians are lazy and 'like' things as simple as possible. People need to get their facts straight before posting nonsense.

Mao Zedong tried that with the "Cultural Revolution", which failed utterly and is now regarded in China as one of the "Four steps backwards" along with the Great Leap Forward during the Mao years. I guess one man trying to craft a society into his personal desires is a no-go. Modern China is now just an authoritarian hypernationalist America loathing stock exchange, sort of like the Republican Party here in the U.S.

Yeah Duterte is in a tough spot, I kinda get the impression that he wants closer ties to China but nationalist rejection by the population and U.S. pressure to stay doggedly neutral is kinda shaping his policies, which is kind of a sad sight to see from such an opinionated firebrand like Duterte. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-philippines-china-southchinasea-idUSKBN2BS0EY

I think he means 'Chinese history as a whole' and yes he's pretty accurate here and paranoia about imminent invasion could be construed as projection because we all know the U.S. has never invaded any countries. I mean the Chinese built a wall to keep the barbarians out, not to invade them. Will they actually invade Taiwan though considering their current government's policies and their significant wealth? I dunno. Maybe? But recent activities suggest maybe not because they've been using more subtle strategies and pressures to gain influence in other regions.

Why do people always take the path of least resistance? Ego?

Honestly, I'd rather just risk war and knock out the CCP (let Europe mostly deal with R00sha) Why? Because an all out war would break us financially and we would lose our Empire, just like the U.K. lost their empire after WW2. Two birds, one stone. Remove probably-worse-than-U.S. powers and also remove ourselves. Then we shall live in an empire free world.

Am I wrong in saying that it's a conservative/reactionary stance to be pro Soviet in Russia and being more "progressive" means being either alt right or western centric? This is the impression I'm getting. If you called yourself a marxist in the U.S. you would get branded as radical leftist and that is quite dangerous in many right wing circles here. All I'm trying to point out. Russia: "I'm a Marxist!" Response: right wing nutjob! U.S.A. "I'm a Marxist!" Response: Left Wing scum!

I'll also add this to the whole "reparations for genocide" argument: The government responsible for it is still in power, that's the key difference between Romans and Britons and Assyrians and Macedonians Mongols, these are all vanquished entities. Unless the U.S. government goes to serious lengths to patch this up, it will most certainly come back and bite them later! I mean just look at how angsty MAGA is lately, it's almost like centuries of dirt burried under the rug and starting to seep through, and they know it...

You sound like Der Fuhrer here Guaranteed jobs, homes, healthcare, womens rights etc is not flawed. Dictatorships and Gulag could be argued as flawed yes. You may be half right but when you're 50% right you're 100% wrong. Also, I'm going to assume that the people bitching about grief over the natives being ethnically cleansed have never actually grew up around rednecks. Trust me, the last thing the U.S. needs is to perpetuate Anglo supremacy on the North American continent, all races are human and can co-exist just fine if we unite around an idea (Not saying we should just open our borders and flood the land with immigrants but you get the idea...I hope).

He reached his peak support around 2015-16 but his overall support has waned a bit. Last I checked he retains a solid 60% support in Russia, and 40% of Russians want new leadership. The only thing I don't know is the age brackets of his support, I'm assuming it's younger Russians who support him most because another poll showed that a significant amount of old timers in Russia want the U.S.S.R. back, and young Russians want no part of that.

Totally in agreement with this. Not to mention playing the demo of 'Colony Ship' was akin watching paint dry, for lack of a better term.
